The product supply info on the website seems inaccurate. I have 4 products not coming and not one shows on the lists. In fact my country rose fleece had shown a green tick 2 days ago and now is completely sold out.
If the list is wrong what's the point of it?"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
I've got my local sales leader coming to visit me on Friday morning - eek!!
I've been reading through earlier posts and have picked up some fab ideas/ tips.
Is there anything that you wish you knew when you started out, or any tips that you swear by and think will really help me out?
I can't wait to get started!! Will I be better off starting in the new year or is there still enough time for me to get orders in before Xmas?

The use of Calling cards is a big tip when it comes to getting books back-it also reminds people who haven't yet had a chance to look at the book. There's still time to start on C1 before Christmas, you can always uses C18 to backorder-Maybe give C18 to family and friend and C1 to your assigned area.Make it clear that they need to agree to either be in on set day or collect as the delivery date falls close to Christmas.
Also make the time to get to know your customers.A 5 minute chat really can make a huge difference.I delivered to 10 people and it took 2 hours cos they all wanted to chat.Live each day as if it was you're last0 -

It depends if their upline is able to give them some C18s, though. The C1 book is more focused on parties and less on Christmas and doesn't have the free gift set offer in it.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Stick to routine ie drop & collect catalogues on same days each campaign. However.... we have some 'short' campaigns coming up which may scupper it temporarily.
I used my own large 'Please leave catalogue on doorstep for 9am THURSDAY' slip and it made a big difference in getting the catalogue back in time.
I use my own slip which goes in with catalogue giving precise delivery time and day which they can keep
I also have a range of other preprinted slips (all politely worded including my contact details) ie.- reminder to put catalogue out if they forgot 1st time or, call me with your order (if you don't want to have to call again to pick up catalogue
- Order will be delivered at... time on ....day, call if not convenient This gets dropped through letterboxes as a reminder a day before delivery.
- I'll call again with your delivery on ... for customers who were not in to receive order
Get to know their names (and those of pets, children etc!) as friendliness will really go a long way.
Don't get too exasperated with people giving you the runaround. Some are not good with deadlines & simply cannot get organised. I should take this on board myself as I get wound up with making sometimes 3-4 visits just to get a catalogue back & then find no order....
Emphasise the 90 replace / refund policy, & then cheerfully carry it through if necessary. It can be annoying to do all that work & then have to send it back & make nothing on it, but all helps with customer relations & ultimately sales.
I always dress up and make an effort when seen out & about doing avon. Personal choice of course.
There's some tips for starters. Don't feel you have to take them all on board straight away. It's enough to just get a grip on how the business works, specially as it's xmas & we have these short campaigns in the new year."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
Wow thanks, some really fabulous ideas!!
The people at my work have already had C18 (infact, they've only just got it!) from the lady from whom I am hoping to take over from. She doesn't actually work here, but is a neighbour of one of my colleagues who can no longer take orders from us here - so hopefully it is the perfect time to start!!
I haven't even spoken to the SL yet and already I have prepared a quick slip introducing myself and am looking into some of the free business cards on Vistaprint lol!! Eager or what!?
Wouldnt it be typical now if they turned round and said sorry you didnt pass our credit check ha!? Out of curiousity, they didnt ask for much information so I assume the credit check is just a broad one to make sure I've never been bankrupt or to check for CCJs maybe? Is this right?

As far as I'm aware it's jet to check that you don't owe Avon any money already (or anyone in your house does as I seem to remember someone was refused because their mum who try lived with owed them money)0
-
Yeah trinity is right, basically they're just checking you don't owe them money from doing avon previously. Even if you have an awful credit rating you'll be accepted as a rep, it might affect what your initial credit limit is, but you wouldn't be refused xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

If that fails, repost on here and will see if I can help. Unfortunately I don't know any SLs in South Wales but someone in my upline may do.
MC you are telling fibs!! Me, me, me! lolStill looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
Can anyone help? My friend is looking for an eyeliner she got from Avon before its a colourtrend wet/dry one? Was this made totally obsolete?
Thankies
