Well I only ever did a small number of people but timesaving things I found (not the normal stuff though):
Give everyone a book and don't bother to collect them.
Get them to either ring/email with an order on a certain date (I always did Wed before cut-off date so I had a week to sort them) - takes some organising to get them 'trained' but then worked fine.
Always give next book when the order is delivered.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

The only problem with this is I would have to order a lot more books if I was never getting them back. I do do this for a few customers I have who live further away, which means I only have to visit them once every three weeks (to drop off their order, along with the next book)0 -
Thanks - I've sent off the application so will just wait for someone to get in touch!
Can't wait to get started!!

Worth bearing in mind, that you get your official earnings (commission) but you also get creative ordering opportunities that will boost your profits, as well as the fact you can get your household toiletries etc at greatly discounted prices which saves you all year round. You also have access to great presents at discounted prices for birthdays and Xmas, as well as any treats for yourself. It's not just a 'per hour' job.Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

I did the real Avon Lady bit yesterday, dolled myself up, bit of perfume & visited a customer at her house (her request) armed with my foundation shade finder thingy. I matched her up & reassured her I would refund if the colour was not right & she ended up spending £32 on makeup. She wants to order perfume for pressies with the next catalogue.
What is interesting is she is a customer that never leaves the catalogue out and has only ordered one other time (last xmas - about £35). I try not to completely give up on customers as some truly will only order about once a year. Also, having personal contact with people can really help with them trusting the rep and the product.
I have a couple of customers like this; always leave plenty of time to go and see them. One I inherited from another PC rep, who quit Avon. Left her a book time after time and no sign of an order until I saw her one day on the street with lipstick marks on her hand. Queried why she didn't try Avon for lippies and she said there was just too much choice (as well as the shades being not exactly accurate in the books either) so she didn't know what to order. Explained about the 90 Day No Quibble Guarantee and she now not only orders with confidence but I tend to get a glass of sherry too!

Well done! As you've found, you're your wife's secret weapon. My husband actually now sells more product than I do, which frees me up to recruit. :jMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Good luck and enjoy; you'll get loads of hints/tips on here. You should hear back fairly quickly but if not, have a look on Avon Connects for a good upliner near you. If that fails, repost on here and will see if I can help. Unfortunately I don't know any SLs in South Wales but someone in my upline may do.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Have never bothered to work out an 'hourly rate' - thought it would be too depressing but my latest SL, who qualified in her 2nd campaign worked out her hourly rate for her 1st campaign as a rep and it came to £18 an hour!!!! :j
I've seen adverts promoting Avon @ £10/hr and mentioned to my ASM recently that it was unfair to do so but was told that it is quite normal (she added that not everyone does Avon the way I do it :rotfl:). Thinking about it, suppose it's quite feasible really and some of that time you're in the comfort of your own home prepping your books/orders whilst watching the TV.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
