Oh and just for those talking expenses and things remember:

If you claim phone contract be aware you'd need a business phone contract - my personal contract with 02 clearly states that my phone is NOT to be used for business calls or use in general or i will be breaching my contract... so of course in no way at all do i use my mobile for work ;):) Could be the same for your internet so i advise you to check before claiming it as a works expense.

Car insurance - you need to have business cover if you use your car for ANYTHING to do with avon.. my insurance company added £200 a year onto my quote when i explained to them id use my car to deliver avon and to commute between rounds.

House insurance - you need to state that you have stock and run business from home otherwise your policy may also be invalidated.

Claiming business use of a room in your house is also a minefield... i have never claimed for business use of home utilities etc as i havent quite worked out what is allowed and what isnt and the point youd start paying business rates! Its also in some mortgage and tenancy agreements that the property cant be used for running businesses from home so please check.

and who says "its just doing the avon for some money on the side".... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Its soooo complicated if you do everything proper and correct.

    Hi
my signature was first removed when i started can't remember why know I am keeping intouch with downline every campaign checking for problems only one with a return.
if ny sales leaders are based in leeds I dont mind meeting up and doing some prospecting with them. either driving around stopping people, stopping people in shopping centres or door knocking up to you. pm me if you are interested I am fully booked until sept 15 working with area managers.

I tip I have picked up is work with as many area managers as possible then make list of good ones.

Wooohooo!! WELL DONE MARSDEN CUCKOO! thats fab news, you deserve it.
I wish you were my SL (or ASL now ;))

I'm not happy (as usual) I emailed my ASM about just being an F&F rep and I have had no reply yet. I think I might ring her in the morning. Also my SL hasn't replied to another email I sent her. So sick of having no support from them grrrr
Also my delivery was incomplete today due to a damaged box AND I got another recharge for a product I had sent back! it was because they sent me the wrong iterm and the customer didn't want it and I called Avon and explained and they said just do a credit so I did, but I had to do it as the product not sent (the customer ordered the Oasis watch and recieved the Ivala handbag as the watch was OOS) and so to them I had not sent the watch back but how could I when I never got sent the watch and didn't have a code for the bag?! anyway, they have refunded my account so thats good.
So I don't know where I am with winding down my Avon!

Thx MrsGSR and really sorry you're still not getting the support you need. It makes it so much harder for reps when they are left to fend for themselves. Email/PM me and I'll gladly see if I can help on a one-to-one basis.

Meanwhile, you don't need to receive a reply from your ASM/SL about releasing your territory; just email them to advise that you want to revert to being a F&F rep - simple as that. Just cherry pick the customers you want to keep and, if you wish (totally up to you but it would be a good idea) email your SL/ASM with a list of the customer addresses you will no longer be servicing.

    'Simples'!

Just make Avon work for you, however it fits in with your own life. It really is the most adaptable job I've ever come across. :T

Hi Money Maker, how are you? Hope Avon is treating you well. :)

i'm a sl, i have 2 reps and i've pretty much been left to fend for myself. I dont know how to do sign ups, how to get rewps or anything. My asm cant help - well i can never gety hold of her! The sl that signed me up has moved 200 miles away, i just dont know what i'm doing. It'd be nice to get 5 in my team so i get comission maybe.

Oh dear, as Aesop (the oracle... yeah!! :j Welcome back again!) says, contact Avon. You may even make a good case for being switched to another upliner although am guessing they may just tag you to your ASM.

Basically, until you have 5 reps on your team you will remain a Trainee Sales Leader and won't earn commission on your team's nett sales. In your situation, unless your ASM helps by supplying you with books, etc., any newbies you sign up you will have to pay for 8 packs of books plus a sign-up pack and it will be your upliner/SL, who is reimbursed:eek: £5.65 for the cost.

Generally, SLs supply sufficient books, etc. for their TSLs to qualify and in my experience should actually accompany them on their sign-ups until they're qualified and/or confident enough to do the sign-ups and training on their own.

Time to get your complaining head on, pinky. Good luck.

At first she did get in touch but was very pushy, wanted me to go to meetings miles away (couldnt afford to or had no childcare) so was a bit funny with me, she has a fake smile and comes across as a fake person. I dont want her contacting me lol. What number would i phone?

Your customer services/Fasttrack no. is on the back of your 'Idiot Guide to Avon' (landscaped book that whoever signed you up should have gone through with you and written their own details on the back too). However, it may be better to email Avon through the 'contact us' section of your website. It's on the bottom (in tiny letters) on your Home page.

LOL MC! so much has changed, I am out of touch with it all, all I can offer is old advise, and hope some of it still applies! I know the Inland Revenue apply and it is best to attend their workshop and ask directly then try to do it yourself.

jennmark - have you put your customer count in yet?? if your customer count says 1 you will only be able to order 1 of each
item that is "1 per customer"....so you need to put at least 3 customers in your count to order 3 eye pallets :)

    MC - WELL DONE!! - :j:j:j

Thanks, J, and the customer count aspect never dawned on me. Hmmmm.... Avon is such a learning curve. :rotfl:

Hope all is well in your world and glad to see you back posting too. :T I miss everyone, where are you? When I went away in March the thread was thriving but it was really quiet when I came back. Surely that can't be due to Avon Connects? Anybody else out there just lurking? If so, feel free to post - we don't bite on this thread. LOL

It hasn't changed that much. Hope everything is going well for you and I have a cunning plan come September or maybe October. ;) IF you're up for it that is! :A
