Called Argos customer services regarding extending a reservation, person I spoke was extremely pleasant and new instantly what I had reserved:D, has extended reservation and did say the price would be be reduced tomorrow. Here's hoping.

I posted on here that I had managed to get one at 7.22pm.

I bought one at full price last night from currys under the understanding i could take it back for a partial refund today. I phoned their customer services dept but they were no use and said it was down to the managers discretion. When I went into store they made a quick phone call to someone and 2 mins later i had my refund. They told me that they were doing refunds for everyone who had bought one going back to June. If the price drops at argos i am happy to give someone my reservation number for a reserved 32gb. its due in on saturday or sunday in Lanark argos.

I have just spoken to Argos twice regarding extending reservations.

The first time a very helpful lady phoned my local store to extend it until 1st September. She even phoned me back due to me waiting on the line for so long.

The second time I phoned for my other half I spoke to a guy this time, also very helpful but wouldn't extend the reservation, saying that they have been told they are no longer allowed to do it on touchpads.

I made out I didn't know what was going on and he explained about what HP were doing, I advised that I bought one last week and because my other half liked it he wanted one which was why i was wanting to buy another. He said there was no guarantees they would drop the price as it was still being discussed by their management and when I asked If I could get a refund of the difference he put me on hold only to come back and say any queries like refunds will have to be taken up with HP.

My other half does want one and I want to get one for my mum for her birthday, just glad I didn't buy them at full price when available!
