Well if I was HP I wouldn't bother reducing the prices in the UK as obviously people are more than happy to pay full whack for them!

people are assuming that they'll get a refund if/when the price drops. But if all the retailers sell out. . . they won't have to drop the price...

But think of how many returns they'll be facing if they don't reduce the prices and offer refunds. They'll have hundreds, if not thousands of stock that has been delivered and returned. They might not be able to sell some of them as new.
