Are you sure? I've checked HP Germany and Amazon.de several times today and have never seen the discounted price.
Amazon.de didn't follow suit, but HP Germany allegedly dropped their prices at some point. I think there was a bug that prevented people buying at the lower price or something - but the intention was there on HP's part. Can't confirm it myself since I didn't bother checking, but there were pictures from the website showing it.0 -
i have not seen anyting in the news about germany... more BS from twitter i think
I was on HP Germany, but the site crashed. They also had the 64GB version for 179 Euros and Pre 3 for 79 Euros. (I didn't think these we even released yet!)
I just about added to basket, then just got lots of server errors.0 -

He did confirm if I bought now and the price dropped I could get the difference back within 14 days from a price promise thing. He also said if I left it unopened I could get a full refund within 28 days.
Website states:
If your product is brand new, unused and the box is unopened
Just take it back to a Comet store with your receipt within 28 days (14 days for a computer). We'll either give you a full refund or a gift card - it's up to you.
But that could be for online sales.
Only price promises I can see relates to competitors on the same day
We match prices against Currys, John Lewis, Tesco, Argos and PC world.
Again, maybe different in store?0 -
The frontpage to the German website wasn't updated with the reduced prices. If you clicked 'JETZT KAUFEN' it took you through to the store where the prices were reduced. The store now seems to of crashed unsurprisingly and know doubt the same will happen to the UK store when the cuts come.0

Please tell me where you found this price in Australia.
HarveyNorman had an exclusive deal with HP covering Australia and they have completely withdrawn it from sale in store and online... After 6 days :rotfl:
Due to this, I can't find it for sale anywhere, let alone for $99.
It is not being advertised.

I have just spoken to COMET online sales, the rep checked policy with her line manager and they no longer make a promise to match any reductions for 14 days post sale.
They will refund any unopened item for 28 days after purchase.
Current stock level is around 1400 units in the warehouse of the 32gb variant.
Also spoke to John Lewis, they are showing no stock on their website and according to their online team have not sold a unit since the 15th, they have nothing showing as available in any of their stores apart from Reading.0 -
Hi all. This is just agony waiting for the price to drop. Checking millions of sites & twitter for news. Hope it happens very soon0

The price promise thing was if THEY reduced there prices, not competitiors. He went away came back and said he couldn't find any information at all about them reducing the price of it. He did say that they may decided not to reduce their prices and send all the stock back to HP. Anyway I bought one at £349, will keep it a few days and see what happens, he did say he was looking forward to hopefully seeing me tomorrow :P0

Latest from a thread at 'Overclockers.co.uk'A friend just called HP:
"they said due to the extreme success in the states
they are revising their pricing policy
its going to happen in 1 hour!
he said prices will be revised between 4.30 and 5pm
today!
BUT also that hp may charge higher prices here in the uk than anywhere else....."
People are guessing at £150 for 16gb and £250 for 32gb. If what the sales rep said was right, then we're about to get shafted by HP.
I guess it was always a possibility. Why would HP want to sell them at £90 when they could still shift the stock at £150?0
