If we all tried to do this for the Christmas period it would be nice.0

i get the train home with my bike and was waiting. the train was there but the doors werent open so alot of people were waiting to get on. once they opening it was a mad rush so i waited to get on and this lady had a huge suitcase and looked to be struggling so i said "do you want a hand?" she said yes please so she held my bike whilst i loaded it on. she must have been away as she looked tanned and very tired. I put the case on the train she passed me my bike and i put it in the bike rack and put her case with it. she said "thank you so much, ive been struggling all the day and its lovely to have help". it might not be much to me but if we all did this for each other or even a small thing the world would be such a lovely place.0

I had one of those days a while back where I was late for an important appointment. I then struggled to find a parking space in the pay and display car park and finally got to the machine to find I didnt have enough change to pay for my ticket.
An elderly gentleman came up to the machine after me and I asked him if he could change a five pound note. He couldnt but had enough change to pay for my ticket as well as his own which he insisted on doing.
I was floating on air for the rest of the day following this little act of kindness.0 -

Does this count - I was late (as usual) for parkrun. I didn't have enough change for parking so I asked a bloke who was leaving for 10p, he didn't have it, so I asked him for his ticket. He gave it to me, laughing at my cheek. I left the £1.10 in the parking meter so the next person only had to pay 10p.What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

When it was snowing earlier this year, I managed to leave work early. I managed to get 8 miles from home before it got so bad that I had to abandon the car. I had walked 4 miles in the dark and snow unsuitable clothes before a very nice locum Dr pulled up in her 4x4 and offered me a lift to my front door.
I have always picked up hitchikers so maybe this was my payback:DProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

Isn't it 'pay it forward' day today?
I got a £3 off a £30 spend nectar voucher when I got petrol yesterday which I won't use so I gave it to a single parent I work with. She was really grateful and I was glad I could help in a small way.#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
After my divorce I moved from a 4 bed roomed house to a 3 and had advertised a double bed for sale for just £10 to get a quick sale as it was taking up a lot of room. I got a phone call from a lady who said she wanted it and could I keep it whilst she got the bus to my house. She turned up a hour later and gave me the money saying she had nothing in her house as she had left an abusive relationship. She had paid for a van to collect it and I made her a cup of tea while we waited. I felt really sorry for her and when the van turned up I asked if she wanted a wardrobe, curtains and matching bedding all of which from Next and were in great condition and I intended to sell at a later date. She hesitated and said she couldn't afford them but I said i meant she could have them for free. I also gave her £10 back. Although I wasn't rich I was better off than she was. Later than night she rang me crying and said how she couldn't thank me enough and for the first time in months she would have a good nights sleep.Emergency Fund £1000/£10000

Someone gave me a car parking ticket as I was walking to the machine as they'd paid for an all day ticket. Didn't know them or ask.
Thought that was niceWhat will your verse be?

I once had a complete stranger knock on my door to tell me that I had left the keys in the lock. My door fronts straight onto the street in what was then a very dodgy area (it's gone up in the world since then) so I was very grateful.
I've found more than one wallet or handbag when I've been out walking the dogs and always made the effort to trace the owners. They have always been grateful.
I did this once! Wonder if your stranger was me?!0
