    Evening.

Bramble it sounds like you both need some time on your own, together, with some sleep for OH thrown in for good measure. Mine is a terrible grump when he is tired and overworked. (((hugs)))

Wooo Molly, what are you getting, then? Tell me, tell me. I am desperately eyeing new cars but I will have to wait 'til next year - if my car lasts that long, its making very odd noises

What a day I have had, we went to the footie this morning, DS2's team are playing much much better this season, they were beaten in both matches, but the score doesn't reflect the performances at all. Home, had lunch and started gutting my room when the phone rang, OH answered but there was no one there, did 1471 and it was his mum. rang back, no reply? Then SisIL called from Switzerland, MIL had a fall, could we go get her please? Cue a very tense drive there, luckily its just over five mins, but we were both sitting there thinking  all I could think was that we'd made this very same drive when FIL died, I was trying so hard to be calm, but it was awful. Thankfully, when we got there she was fine. Well not fine at all actually, but she hadn't fallen, she had been sick for a few days - I had seen her Wednesday, and had called her Friday and she hadn't said - and not been taking her pills, and so had got stuck in bed in agony and had been trying to get up since 7.30am with no success. She was desperate for the loo, and distraught because she was in agony. It was really distressing. So OH picked her up and we walked her to the bathroom slowly, and then got her sorted out and got her washed and changed, and fed and settled. It took a lot to persuade her to eat because she had been sick and she was worried it would start again, but she eventually took a wee boiled egg, and some lemonade, then eventually a cuppa too. She took her meds too, she is convinced that if she is sick she should stop all her meds - which of course makes her pain unbearable, which probably makes her feel sick because of the stress :(

I've just spoken to her and she sounds a lot better, I had made a wee quick pot of lentil and veg soup for her, left her a thermos cupful, and a flask of tea, too. We also sorted the phone situation out so she has a fully charged phone beside her as she had moved it. She has had the soup and a cuppa, and has taken her evening meds so she can go to the loo again before sleeping, and me and the boys will go up in the morning and see what's happening.

I am exhausted and OH is being very quiet :o he is going away tomorrow of course, so he is stressing about it, but his oldest sister is coming on Wednesday for a week's holiday to stay with MIL, which turns out to be great timing.

Sorry for the offload, I really needed that :o I hope this makes her think again about her crazy plan to move away.

    Night all, take care.

Jackie - i know! i'm gonna let him get it out his system, and hang out with his friends and enjoy my alone time with pup. I love him, but weeks like these make me wonder....

    Evening all

I've had a good day, and only a few dizzy spells. The rugby match was a tad boring, apart from the 3 trys, but we had fun, and it turned out we knew lots of people sitting by us. After the match we went to Krispy Kreme for donuts....mmmmmmmmmmm.....they don't have one where we live!

When we got back, flatmate made some cupcakes for me to take to see the baby tomorrow. She has a little cake making business on the side, she made 6 vanilla cupcakes which have pink colouring added to them, and strawberry & vanilla buttercream icing (swirled in pink and cream), and pink flowers on top which have the baby's name iced on :D. As flatmate it was my duty to lick the mixing bowl clean ;) :rotfl:

OS wise - bins emptied, WM been on

    Night all

    Hi all,

Hope all is well with everyone and that your OS-ing is going well. :D

    Candygirl
    , happy anniversary.
I do try to avoid giving medical advice but Red Doe, I had my tetanus booster along with my flu and swine flu boosters in January and I felt horrific for a good few days.

Jannyannie, I felt that way when I was made redundant from the NHS. It was all I had ever known and it really floored me but the company I work for now picked me up, saw that I'd make a great salesperson and encouraged me. Now I only pine for my hospital, A&E and the wards every other hour rather than every minute of the day. :rotfl:
Hester - That looks a really good jelly, I've started looking at stuff for my Christmas hampers and that seems a good call.
Dreamyd, it's people like you that make the world a nicer place. Many many years ago, I had a similar thing and someone took me in and kept me fed, warm and happy. Now I try to do the same, the good karma circle goes round.
Jackie, I hope all gets better for your MIL.

Well, my os-ing is going well. Mostly because it's the end of the month and I have no other choice. :p I've done my meal planning for the next month and I got tickets to the festival I wanted to go to for less than the face value - in fact, I got my train ticket, festival ticket and coach back for the price of the face value. Happy days!

Oh yes and I got engaged today. :j
