  • I've just finished writting down everything in my cupboards and it wasnt as bad I first thought!!!
Had to do it in my jammy bottoms though as a little person decided to widdle on me as she nodded off. Once OH is home tonight we will make our eat it up plans. Also found a forgotten bottle of whiskey hiding behind some pickled onions so might be trying my pears in that.

Molly - hope you had a good time at Costco

Redruby - Birthday wishes to your dad :)

Flutterby - have a lovely time seeing baby Isla - I want my friends to start having kids!

Dreamyd - hope your new lodger is okay today, so lovely of you to take him in.

    Bargainbird - I can't wait for x Factor either!

OH seems to be talking to me now, i text him to inform him that we got charged twice by Dominoes last night, so he called to say he'd sorted it, we just need to show the store they over charged us and we will get a refund.

It's raining! Pup found a cricket ball the other day, apparntly the dye on them runs when they are wet....I now have a red puppy instead of a yellow one. (He's in a mood now as i've confiscated it to save the carpets!)

I had planned to go to the £shop today to get some trellis for the garden, might go tomorrow instead.

    Afternoon all
I got all enthusiastic this morning & emptied out the cupboard under the stairs, amongst other things there were 4 pairs of size 8 shoes given to hubby by his step dad, all one size too small, 2 handbags given to me by ex colleague who was moving, 1 pair of size 14 work shoes, hubby takes a size 9! A plastic crate of books, 1 picnic set in a backpack which was a Christmas gift from the inlaws, 1 picnic set in a wicker basket which was a Christmas gift from DD. A snooker cue, probably belongs to DSS, who we haven't seen for 5 years now. 1 cot bumper that I made for DGS, I've checked with DD & she's been tearing her house apart looking for it to use for DGD2, 1 cot quilt, ditto as before. 1 mans navy blue blazer, def not hubby's, 1 pair of navy blue ski trousers, also def not hubby's.
Shoes & mens clothes will go to the charity shop, along with the books & handbags. Cot bumper & quilt have been washed & will go to DD's soonest. Snooker cue returned to cupboard (if I bin it DSS will no doubt turn up & want it back) No idea what to do with the picnic set, these will probably also be returned to the cupboard. Even so the cupboard will be a lot less cluttered.
    Hugs Hester

    Afternoon All

RR - Happy Birthday to your Dad.
FB - Glad you are feeling a little better and you get things sorted soon.
Annie - Hope your wrist is better soon.
DreamyD - If I were his parents I would be very grateful too, well done!
Hugs to Reddoe, Lou and Bitsy, hope you're all feeling better.

Actually went to the supermarket this morning to stock up, rumour has it that DS2 is coming home for a few days next week, he has now finished his Masters and after a celebratory weekend wants a few days at home to chill out. Hopefully he will be able to see his new niece while he is here.

DGD (ooh, it's good to write that) is doing ok, DD went over to see them yesterday for a couple of hours, everything seems to be ok between them all now, long may it continue. I have been invited over tomorrow afternoon which is good but DS1s Fiance's parents will be there. Not looking forward to that bit so much as I have never met them before and I still feel a little ill at ease as I am on my own. Still, got to be done!

Loads of washing blowing away outside, it's sunny and windy here, DW just finished, house is fairly clean and tidy and managed to get the grass cut yesterday. Work tonight at 5, hope it isn't as busy as last night.

Enjoy your weekends. Take care. XX

OOoh sorry Bargainbird, come on then who made the chicken crumble:cool:
House is clean and washing almost dry just had to rescue the last bit off the line as its chucking it down.
All the kids moved bedrooms so hopefully a bit of a rest this evening and a bottle of wine. About to get in a hot bath as my back is killing me with all the lifting and shifting.
Have made a big pan of chicken and veg soup with leftover chicken bits and veg and thats the only cooking I am doing today. If they want anything else they can make it themselves.
DGS has gone off to his dads for the night and DD has disappeared to her room, same with DS2 and DH and DS3 have gone to the driving range.
Oh the quiet is bliss. Off for a long soak and a good book.:D

Grumpy has gone out! House to myself all evening :)

he bought a bottle of wine last night which i am helping myself to.

Went to waitrose and got some last minute bargains, 2x raspberry cupcakes for 60p instead of £2! Will have mine later, and maybe OH's too....

Been doing really well with saving £2 a day, am also going to put the £10 a week i'd have spent on drinking in the pot too when i don't buy any wine.

hope everyone is having a lovely weekend

    Good Evening x
Bramble - sorry OH is being a grumpy g*t:eek::eek::eek:

So a very busy day but highly productive. Some OS bargains and some not so OS purchases. I did well at C0stc0 and only brought off my list so we are stocked up for a while. I also managed to get two sleeping pods (wider sleeping bags) at more than half price so very pleased with that.

This afternoon we went and looked at cars as mine is now 11 years old, has 170,000 on the clock and is fading fast. Anyway I have decided to go with Motability as it seems to be the best option and the paperwork has been all signed and sorted which seems too good to be true?

Then when we got home Kids Dad and DD got a brilliant deal for their trip to New York in December so all in all a very exciting day. Its wonderful to see DD smiling again and excited about her future plans:T:T:T

Im now shattered and in bed but will have a mooch around MSE and catch up on the gossip. Have a lovely evening xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I don't know what's up with us at the moment, we don't seem to be managing to get on very well, we never see each other because of his work, weekends he'd rather see his mates and when we are together we bicker. arghhhhh
