    Good morning all

I'm just sneaking on to the PC before DH gets up - his plans for the day involve putting lots of carp on Ebay and it always seems to take an age. Still, if any of it sells that will help declutter and boost the household finances - so I can't really grumble!

I've got a few chores to do (BM and WM on, but the kitchen needs a good scrub and I really ought to put the vacuum round) and then I'm heading into the garden for a few hours. I've been clearing the (ahem) "nature reserve" area at the bottom of the garden so am planning a nice shady flower bed with lots of woodland-type plants such as foxgloves etc (it's under a big tree). I'm hoping there will be space for a small raised veg bed too - so far my home growing has been confined to gro-bags and containers and I would love to grow more. We've been on the waiting list for an allotment for over 3 years now...

Dinner this evening will be pasta bake with leftover bolognaise sauce (padded out with some red lentils and extra tomatoes) and cheese sauce, with fruit and yogurt for pud.

Hope you all have a lovely day

    Evie

Had to get a tetanus shot yesterday (due to being bit by a vole) so am feeling a bit rubbish today. So all my weekend plans are out the window and instead I'll do light housework and cooking, catch up with the laundry and play a board game with the OH and the daughter. :) (we tend to choose between Monopoly, Cluedo, Star Trek or Sherlock Holmes)
Very windy and cold up here today, so have lit the open fire in the livingroom. I think people underestimate open fires. Aside from the obvious warmth, it's so comforting and cheering to see when outside is miserable.
Tomorrow I have work...am mounting a squirrel, no rude jokes please! :D and bleaching a deerskull to make a European mount.
But today, I'll take it easy. Must be getting older..never thought a tetanus jag would floor me like it has. :(
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
One more thing I decided to do was not let my debt worries stress me out so much they make me ill, which is what they were doing. I actually got quite seriously ill recently with it all, then saw sense. I refuse to end up in an early grave or in hospital because of money. That isn't me shirking my responsibilities, just putting it into perspective. Because if all my life has been about is concerned with money, debt and stress, then that's a bad thing.
Hence the board game and time spent with family this weekend and on mundane but soothing activities. I'm beginning to live again. :D

Morning - it's my first weekend in my own home for five weeks and I intend to enjoy it. Work trip was good and I've now caught up with all the stuff which had to wait whilst I was away.

Shopping now - returning something to Curry's (WM finished - DW on - showered and managed to avoid drowning the daddy long legs which is resting in the shower cubicle) then I am going to sit down and catch up on Law and Order UK, Torchwood and New Tricks. If anyone in this house has thoughts of moving me out of my new chair then they need their head examined!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I have tried to keep up whilst away and now send good wishes, vibrations and hugs to all those who need or even want them.
