I bought 80 of them in 9 different varieties used a coupon and spent 50p :rotfl:

80? Why would anyone want 80 lightbulbs? Is there a genuine reason for buying 80, or is it just greed and therefore stopping other people from benefitting?

To save money on your electricity bills (and not to mention the environmental benefit) for over a decade? Or to save money and the environment yourself and give bulbs to friends and family to do the same?

I don't see the difference between buying lots of 1p lightbulbs or stocking up on 10p tuna it all saves money in the end - I doubt anyone will let them go to waste.

For boys aged 5-7 years. Bought one of these in New Malden Extra last night - there were several left.
  • I got over 100 light bulbs, and I'm still out and about buying. Greed? Yes and no. My mum purchased light bulbs from a wholesalers about thirty years ago in bulk when he was doing a stock clearance to make room for new lines. We still have some left and have never needed to buy a bulb since. In fact quite a few friends and housebound neighbours have benefited from my mum's forward planning in this matter, but as stocks are slowly dwindling away it's leaving an empty space where there were once light (bulbs). Is so wrong of me to want to fill that void with something new?

I don't think anyone needs to justify themselves. We all post offers to help each other out, we all take advantage of offers for the benefit of ourselves and others.

There'll never be enough for everyone in the world and some people will never want to spend the time looking at threads like these or to bother with such offers, so what?

It's fantastic that everyone on this site shares info to our mutual benefit. How people use that info is their own business so long as it does not hurt anyone and is not illegal! I am totally used to looking for an offer only to find an empty shelf - I just look forward to the next great bargain! I get enough fantastic cheap stuff that I really cannot complain!

Thanks to everyone that posts and well done to everyone that's taken advantage of the offers! Personally I got four bulbs before the staff took the Leicester Beaumont Leys bulbs away - well done to the guy who got a load at about 8.40am yesterday morning, you were the one that tipped them off!!

I also got towel bale for £4.50 (6 pieces) and the shepherd's pie jar stuff for 26p...

    Hi all,

did a quick search and cant find anything mentioned, but while i was busy grabbing my 1p energy saving lightbulbs i noticed rolls of the foil that you put behind the radiator to reflect the heat out. 50cm x 5 metres, reduced to 50p a roll :)

    xx
