Been in my local Tesco Extra today and bought a lot of board games. Worth getting price checks done on some of them as they were half of the already reduced price showing on the shelves (further reductions).

Bought about 100 games and the average price paid came to about £4.50 each. This is quite a saving when some of them had been around the £25.00 mark.

No I don't want these to sell on e-bay. They are for the 2008 Christmas Party for Disadvantaged Children. As we have to raise the money to pay for the party savings like this are reverse fundraising.

Many of the Tesco Energy Saving Lightbulbs ARE ONLY 1p - including 2 or 3, but not all, of the "speciality" types

Applies to those that have a "6 year lifetime" rating.
Most of them at 1p are the "normal" "STICK" variety (both BC & ES - Bayonet/Screw) in 9w, 11w & 20W.
However there are some SES (Small Edison Screw) and also some with a small profile "spiral tube" that may be suitable for those light fittings that the others don't fit in.

I bought 80 of them in 9 different varieties used a coupon and spent 50p :rotfl:

From what has been said on the other thread, some stores have had them openly on display in "cages" clearly marked at 1p, others "don't know about the offer" and they are all on the normal shelves behind full price SELs (but scan at 1p), some stores are trying to restrict the number you are allowed to by (6 or less at some stores) and there are some stores "refusing" to sell them at 1p (claiming that they are faulty :rotfl: & taking them off customers) or saying that they are not allowed to sell 1p items (quoting obscure store policy - shouldn't be on the shelves or some such nonsense)

Yep, 30% off all jeans. However, bought 3 for me and 1 pair of kids jeans today and the discount didnt come off the kids jeans so got a nice £3.60 DTD!!
