I can't stand oven chips and have tried aunt bessies and mccain homefries as well as ob. You can't beat home made deep fried chips but of course can't have them very often (about once a fortnight for us). Chip shop chips are ok but they palm you off with lots of shards and charge a fortune. Best chips I ever had was on a trip up north to Blackpool - had with gravy - yum yum.

I always thought that Aldi Goldenfries were basically their version of McCain Homefries:

    but cheaper.

  • I'm putting in a vote for Tesco Value oven chips :D Just nice to have something like that in the freezer - its my comfort food LOL.
  • Definitely Aldi Goldenfries are the best for that price:)

Sainsbury Taste the Difference are fantastic; a very special valentines day treat with steak. I won't buy them too often, otherwise I'd just eat them all the time.

I agree, these are my favourite. Large wedges, soft and fluffy inside, and crispy on the outside. Outstanding :D
