Things I do not need

I DO NOT need ANYMORE toiletries from Boots as I had enough for Christmas to wash the entire british army (and leave them all smelling lovely)
I DO NOT need a £30 haircut from posh pretentious hairdressers when my local college does it for £3.50
I DO NOT need to buy another microwave meal when I have plenty of food in the freezer I can COOK
NOBODY NEEDS an inflatable-disposable poop scooperWas debt free... then went travelling!0 -
Buying designer brands makes one a mug and simply benefits the super rich designer
All those must have items end up at the rubbish dump
Rich people get that way by focusing thier energy on investing, not reading expensive celebrity gossip mags or betting on the Lottery. Surely watching a documentary is so much more meaningful than a soap?0 -

Exactly.
If people invested the £5.00 per day they waste on lunch / mags etc ................
I went shopping just after Xmas and ended up spending a fortune in Animal, O'neil and on J Lewis cafe lunch for a family of 4. Ended up tempted and bought stuff I dont really need.
The best solution....... I just dont go shopping. Leave it to the wife I say.
You know some of the walthiest guys Ive known (truly wealthy with assets - income is only of secondary importance) make thier only pair of black work shoes last 3 - 5 years, where as thier staff buy new shoes every 6 months.0 -

So wealthy people are wealthy by living frugally? I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to be wealthy, I want to pay off my debts so that the amount I would normally spend on repayments can be split between investments and luxuries. Was debt free... then went travelling!0 -
I do not NEED the huge satellite dish at 250 euros which will enable me to get British TV here in Spain.....
My husband does not NEED a huge black shiny motorbike.....
(but they would both be very nice....)(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

'Many a man gets rich by not painting his house' or something...
I do not need more Lush stuff, even if it does make me smell wonderful and sorts out my Stress-Over-Ebay-Being-W*ankers-Induced breakouts. I have more bath stuff than I will ever need, so use that up first.
I do not need stuff from Monsoon. It's 75% off, but that's still 25% that I do not have.
I do not need a big fancy wedding. I love my man, and don't need the produce of Holland's fields, a dress that will be worn once and a party for a bunch of near-strangers to prove that. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
