Things I do not need

I think a post before you buy is a great idea! I do try to do this now, instead of impulse buying I try to make myself wait and assess if I need it.

• I don't need to buy more uniform clothes just because they look smart for the first day they are worn (after 1 wear and 1 wash they look the same as the rest) if the boys have enough! (off to see how much they have)
  
• I don't need to buy the kids new socks every week just because I hate sorting socks, have bought a sock net instead!
  
• I don't need to buy loads of groceries when I have enough in the cupboard, fridge and freezer to last- must do meal plans today
  
• I don't need to go and look round the sales as I will end up buying something and there is nothing I need

System

I do not need SKy plus
We do not need an electronic bottle warmer for the babby's milk to make OUR life easier
We do not need 2 mobile phones
We do not need 2 cars
We do not need Sky upstairs
We do not need SKy movies subscription - GONE
We don't need no education
We don't need no self control....
I do not need to pay for the annual subscription that allows me to listen to the local radio football commentary online.

Nightmare!

I do not need the piles of clothes that don't fit me that are stuffed on the floor of the wardrobe, especially all the ones I bought to 'slim onto'
I do not need the two sunloungers I bought from NEXT that are in the shed (on still in the box)
I do not need the pizza oven in the kitchen
I do not need a mobile phone with a camera
I do not need anymore new pillowcases
I do not need all those pairs of shoes languishing in the shoe cupboard

i don't NEED much, but i WANT lots...and i hat saying no to myself :eek:

technically i don't..

NEED an ipod (but i have bday money)
NEED the new makeup i'm going to get (but it'll make me feel better about myself and i NEED that)
NEED most of the things i bought in town yesterday (but i did NEED a little boost to keep me going as my enthusiasm has been failing me)

the good news is i'm not getting into debt with any of the above and they are giving me a little push in the right direction for my goals, so it's not just about wants and needs.

*I do not need a new carpet cleaner as the one that cost us £200 is rubbish!
* I do not need to keep all my old pre-pregnancy and childbirth clothes in the hope that I will eventually fit back in to them!
