Discussion on this board over the last day or two has suggested that there are lots of us out there who spend lots of time at home even if we're not/no longer caring for children.

It would be nice for us to share our experiences of going against the grain - some of us may be retired, others may be at home because of illness or unemployment, others simply by choice. We can support each other in our efforts to care for our homes and possibly partners while at the same time leading worthwhile and meaningful lives.

Anyone interested? If I don't add you to the list, please PM me :-)

I tried to post a new thread within the last half hour but it hasn't appeared on the board...

This is for all of us who spend a lot of time at home - because of retirement, ill health, redundancy, unemployment, or simply by choice.

Let's support each other as we try to live Old Style in a world which tends to define us by our jobs...

I look forward to meeting you all soon.

This is so weird. I found your original version of this thread, posted on it - then refreshed the page & my post had disappeared!!! Anyway, I think I'm back again - can I join please?

  • HELP BOARD GUIDES!!!!

I'm sorry but I don't know what happened! Please can we combine the threads and delete the irrelevant posts about the thread not appearing on the board!!!!

Please will you post on the OTHER thread, interested people?
  • :p Please could we make this the real thread? I don't know what happened but first there were none and now there are two...
  • Please will you go to the other thread, Mrs Tittlemouse, meritaten, Chipps and Hovel lady? Presumably we can then just let this thread drop off the front of the board.
  • As I said on the other board before it duplicated.
I'd like to join too please,if I may.
