What car do you have and do you do this round trip 7 days a week? We recently got a Mondeo diesel - the tank is 70 litres I believe and for motorway driving it'll get well over 600 miles out of a full tank. So a diesel with a tank that size should only need filling every four days (not three times a week).
With the Adapted tank - I will only be causing an inconvenience once a month - I am sure you can live with that -
It is focus petrol 1.6 with 50 litre tank - and i only do the trip 5 days a week ( out of that i spend at least 3 days attending petrol stations)I owe £3233 @ 0%0

Finally someone on this forum who would genuinely benefit from owning a diesel car!
And they drive a petrol. :rotfl:0

Having a bloody great big fuel tank full up would mean your fuel consumption would be greatly reduced, the advice given to improve fuel consumption is only fill up when you need to, don't keep the tank full, if a modern deisel car will do 600 miles on a full tank why would you need to top it up when it gets to half.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

Why not fill up a couple of petrol cans when you fuel up and leave one or both in the car or in the garage at home? The man without a signature.0

The difference this makes is not really worth bothering about, especially when you consider the extra fuel consumption from making additional trips to the garage to fill up!0

I thought about that - but was advised on MSE that buying a diesel car was false economy ( Firstly you pay more for diesel car and cost of fixing car issues).I owe £3233 @ 0%0

walking it would take 27 hours and 12 minutes on a flat surface
Drink plenty of red bull and I would say you could cut the time in half !0
