Buying Fuel - Boring?
I do about 138 Miles round trip a day which means i have to visit the petrol station at least 3 times a week. That repetitive chore is driving me crazy and absolute boring. 99.9 % of the time i am alone in the car. Can anybody recommend a garage that would happily covert the back of my car to a Large Fuel tank meaning i could carry at least a minimum of a month's worth of fuel. I know it is possible cause formula 1 cars carry more fuel than required.
Happy me solve this problem - Thanks

It only takes 5 mnutes to re-fuel and then pay for it."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

            1. Imagine how long you'd have to stand there filling for - I'd be dead peeved if I was behind you in the queue.
 2. You'd definitely exceed the 'pay at pump' spend limit.
What car do you have and do you do this round trip 7 days a week? We recently got a Mondeo diesel - the tank is 70 litres I believe and for motorway driving it'll get well over 600 miles out of a full tank. So a diesel with a tank that size should only need filling every four days (not three times a week).0

my partner has exactly the same length of trip and his tank is only 46 litres so he fills up every day to keep the tank full (he panics if its less than half on the dial)
he uses pay at pump, it takes seconds0

A lot of garages limit all the pumps* to 100 litres even for pay at kiosk transactions. Makes sense really as the kind of conversion the OP is considering would be great for bilking!
*except for the HGV diesel pump. Top tip if you have an older car is that sometimes the HGV diesel nozzle will fit in the pipe and you can fill up much faster. Just be sure to wear plastic gloves the first time you try it. Used to work great on my old L reg Passat.0

my favourite hobby is driving around in my car with the petrol warning light on, he's apopletic about it!!
the difference is, that when the warning light on my dial comes on, i still have about 80-100 miles left and so dont need to worry
when his comes on, he has about 30 miles left, but as i say he never gets below half full and if he does its crisis point!0

Or if it's quiet park between two pumps. 99.9% of the time the cashier authorises the pump without even a second glance. The man without a signature.0

You drive 138 miles a day, and you think filling with fuel is the boring bit? Get out, stretch your legs, relax for a minute.
If you get bored spending five minutes filling up, imagine how you would feel filling up a tank to last you the whole month...No trees were killed to send this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. - Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson)0

To alleviate the boredom, why not ask your local garage to install TV screens at each pump so you could watch Corrie or MTV or whatever every time you fill up. Or get the garage to go back in time to when they had petrol pump attendants - my local garage in the 60's once did a promotion with bikini wearing girls dispensing the petrol for a week causing traffic jams locally.
Other than that, you'll have to stick to being bored!!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
