Hugs tinks!
To cheer us all up if AF arrives over Christmas, what alcoholic drink is everyone planning to have?
Thanks Ladies .
I don't really drink either after my cocktail session and then getting our bfp with DD2 the next day I was so ill that night and think the reason she stayed sticky was because i had pickled her :rotfl::rotfl:
I have got in some of Heston's Mulled Cider so may try that other then that I have stocked up on the festive special non-alco drinks.
2012 the year of the forever baby i'll drink to that xxxxIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Oooh Christmas day booze, this is the first year in about 5 that I'm not driving anywhere so I can have a drink! I'll be having champagne during breakfast and present opening, then wine with dinner and maybe a brandy or two afterwards! Mmmm.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Thanks everyone - it really means a lot. My boss has said I can slope off early if I'm prepared for a meeting I have tomorrow, which will be much appreciated as I didn't get much sleep last night. To cheer us all up if AF arrives over Christmas, what alcoholic drink is everyone planning to have?
Clearly as I was at my work Xmas 'do' last night, I'm never drinking again - but if I was, I'd have to agree with Nicki below - with the substitution of Champagne instead of Bucks Fizz, as there's no point in ruining perfectly nice fizzy wine with orange juice :rotfl:Bucks Fizz before lunch on the day, wine with the meal, port afterwards. I'm a traditional girl at heart! On the following days I see a lot of wine in my future with the odd G and T or dry Martini thrown in0 -
So sorry to hear there's been some more bad news, that's so sad about the poor cat. Hugs to all that need them x.
I have my work's christmas do tonight and really not in the mood. Didn't sleep well last night and feeling generally sorry for myself again. Am also really undecided about whether to drink or not. I don't really want to drink, and if I do it will only be a couple, but I don't think I can face anymore 'are you pregnant' comments. There's only one person at work that knows we're trying and she's v lovely and will look after me, but everyone else seems to think it's ok to make comments like that if someone isn't drinking.
Feel like just being v honest and saying 'no, not pregnant, am clearly a massive failure as we've been trying for years and nothing but go ahead, make your comments'.
Sorry for whinging yet again, as you can tell, I'm not really in the party mood!0 -
((hugs)) Tealover. You are not a massive failure, I know it's hard but please don't think that because it isn't true.
I know what you mean though, people can be so rude and ask the most inappropriate questions.

Same in our family. My mum gets out the Bucks Fizz about 11am when we start opening presents, although hate orange juice so I mix mine with cranberry or something, and then wine at lunch, and then my parents and my grandad used to drink port but I just have wine as cant really take anything really strong and dont like the taste anyway, Im a major lightweight!:rotfl:
FF thinks I may have ov Monday. CD12 which would mean AF would come CD24/5 which would make it 2nd shortest cycle Id had in my entire life.. Ive always had cycles around 35 days and only once when I was about 14 had a weird cycle that was 21 days but I was a teenager and you expect weird ones then.
So I think its more likely my temps have just been a bit weird. However I was getting some funny twinges at the start of the week and I got a lot more CM earlier than normal. But if I did ov monday then were definitely out for the month because we didnt BD until yesterday as had a really busy and tiring week! typical!
I will just have to be glad that my body finally decided to start ov at a 'normal' time and not CD28 like it did last month! So perhaps thats a good sign. Ive also just applied for a new job which I really want so I guess another month of not being pregnant I could live with. But Id much rather prefer I just had a weird temp and am about to ov very soon!0 -
Sara so sorry about your cat. We have two, one was ill recently, and I was devastated do cant imagine how you're feeling. It's like the loss of a family member. Hope you start to feel better soon. When one of our pets died when we were young my mom always used to say "just think what a great life you gave her". Used to make me feel better xxx0

Nah, only the best peopleWhat is happening overnight? Everyone is awake?

Southern Comfort, lime & lemonade! To cheer us all up if AF arrives over Christmas, what alcoholic drink is everyone planning to have?
With lots of ice
I felt really sick on tuesday when I was going to my hairdressers appointment. The assistant asked me if I was pregnant (my hairdresser knows we're TTC and had just been discussing the FS) so I said "no, I wish" and they both said, in unison, "well, you never know!" I just said "yes, trust me, I do" and left it at that. Whilst in my head thinking "I've just been for my effing CD2-5 test you numpties, of course I flipping well know!"I know what you mean though, people can be so rude and ask the most inappropriate questions.

Some people can be amazingly tactless when asking about babies-being on the recieving end of it has made me stop and think before I open my big mouth when someone isn't drinking etc . It is very difficult sometimes to give a normal reply, instead of "We would love a baby, but we have just found out mrhappys sperm count is zero, so it's highly unlikely, now !!!! off and annoy someone else"Student_Mrs wrote: »Interesting article here about post baby blues in relationships?! Anyone with LO's mind telling us if they found this true?
I think that article was a bit harsh, yes, you're both knackered and irritable on ocassion as having a baby is a massive change in your lifestyle, but it's not all doom and gloom as that would suggest. I split up with ex husband when my son had just turned a year, but that was cos he was an immature gambling womanising drunk and a complete pr!ck :rotfl:Student_Mrs wrote: »blimey, and another delightful story here!! Can you tell that I'm trying to distract myself here?? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2073907/Christmas-list-Spoilt-girl-13-demands-presents-says-Santa-Claus-die.html
If we were to get lucky, our LO will be nice to Santa and also not getting that much! The mum looks so sad
I know what she needs :rotfl:A bit strange that she is writing to Santa at 13, unless she was just messing about with friends and being a bit silly, but her mum seems to think that she should get everything she wants, hmmmmm
huge hugs to everyone that needs one, I think everyone has a touch of the pre christmas blues xx0 -
I'm another non-drinker, made it easy when we were pg last time as no one questions my non-drinking. Hope everyone has more tactful people about than they are expecting during party season (and beyond).:starmod:I'm a SAHM to a smiley snuggly adventurous cheeky bundle of b:male:y b.Oct10. :j
We're a vegan family. We do cloth nappies/wipes, dabble with ECing, use toiletries without parabens/SLS etc, co-sleep, baby-wear, BF, BLW, eco-ball laundry, and we plan to home educate (ideally not at home too much - we want to travel the globe).:starmod:0
