I only charge £5/hour for babysitting QQ with a minimum of 2 hours to cover my petrol (so I'd still be paid £10 if I only did 1 hour). I think it's a fairly cheap rate, but it means that I will get asked back more, so more work. It's not exactly a difficult job to sit there and chat, watch TV (would be doing this at home anyway) and drink cups of tea. I was there for 4 hours last night. Will be there again next Sunday (Moon and I will have to DTD in the morning then), and possibly be picking them up from school on Wednesday or Thursday if the Dad can't for some reason (he's going to let me know).

Didn't know that about the multivitamins. Will have to find the cheapest source for pregnancy ones.

ETA Mr T have 3for2 on their vits at the moment. Is it worth me getting the pregnacare conception ones x 2 then a pregnancy one, or is it ok to take the pregnancy ones when pre-conception too?
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Hello everyone, just checking in! :)

Didn't do any ov tests this month (slightly rubbish attempt at taking a more "relaxed" approach) but I'm pretty sure I would have ov'd some time this week. CD22 for me today, but have had slightly long cycles for the last few months.

OH has been great with putting in the effort with regular BDing this past week (even with a bad back, bless him) - so fingers are most definitely crossed!

I've been buying new work clothes this weekend as I really need them (old ones getting sooooo tatty!) - but does anyone else feel slightly weird about buying new clothes while TTC? Part of me thinks it will be a waste of money in that fingers crossed hopefully they won't fit soon, but then part of me thinks that's silly and that I should buy them cos I don't want to jinx anything! Don't know if that makes sense at all??

Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday so far!

claire, Christmas in Saigon with noodles sounds amazing:D
Also, 2 medium and one light day doesn't sound like light AF:)

Really? I suppose I dont know whats 'normal' because when I was a teenager AF would go on for about 7-8 days! And then after a few years of that I went on the pill and it changed to about 4-5 and seemed 'normal' to me. So I assumed once I stopped taking the pill it would go back to being a week long thing again. Im really pleased it hasnt but obviously I dont want it to mean theres something wrong either!

Wow you are a bargain baby sitter! But its a funny thing though isnt it as you feel you arent doing much apart from watching tv if the kids arent babies? When people ask me what I charge I have in the past sometimes said £5 a hour just to hope theyll ask me back again! But generally people have always paid me more, so now I say £7 if they ask, but for the people I nanny for they always pay me £8.

I also babysit for a couple who sound very much like the one you are babysitting for. They live in a huge house - complete with friends style sofa you can put foot rests up on, 3 floors, and 2 well behaved kids. They are also building a new house for themselves in a field a few roads over! Weve also stayed in their flat in NYC before, was amazing! They tend to pay me around £7-10 an hour, its kind of random! DH used to come with me as the boy liked to play table tennis with him and me and the girl mainly chat- sounds just like the one you looked after. Once we did an over night, and another time we looked after them all day and stayed til around 2am and both times got about £150 - its definitely a fun way to earn money!!

I had temp like that the other day, and took another one when I woke up later and my fever had gone down and just put that in instead. It was like yours, made the chart massive and seemed kinda silly as its not like it was cos of anything to do with my cycle!

I have to say Ive bought a few new things recently and not even thought about that, and ike you said seems like it would be better jinx wise to buy them! And lots of the stuff Ive been buying recently are things like woolly jumpers etc, not like summer skimpy stuff so dont think it would matter too much anyway.

yeah you could just miss it out. Also you can put on the 'specific' bit that you had a fever and illness so you remember why it was high if you look back at it although I guess you wouldnt really forget about that!

Just to be clear btw - the £3k watches - they're not AT ALL likely for DH lol But some of the ones he really likes are £3.5k+!
Erm ....... That sounds distinctly like what Rebekah & someone else said the day before getting a Bfp last month .... Am I right in thinking that I also ss'd for you a few days after ov? Would you consider doing a test to put my mind at ease?:o
    No! :p If it's a BFP it'll still be a BFP in a few days, if it's a BFN I'll still be wondering if it's a BFNY :p
