I hold my nose when I drink it, :rotfl:it's revolting. Last week I was lining up my folic acid, soy capsules, cough mix and grapefruit juice making faces as I worked my way through them all :rotfl:

haha, i haven't bought cough mix or soy or even folic acid yet. We were supposed to be taking a chilled out route lol. :rotfl:

How are you feeling today? i do hope your hubbies SA was just cos he had been poorly. You do hear about women being told they won't be able to have kids and then conceiving so maybe there are men like that too. My auntie is one of them. A women told she couldnt have kids then had 3, not a man.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Thank you, I am feeling a lot better today, not really had time to think about it much as my gran was rushed into hospital yesterday and I've been dealing with that!
As far as I know it is recommended to take folic acid before you are even actively TTC, although lots of people get pregnant and don't take it until they have their pregnancy confirmed, so even though you are going for the chilled out route, I would suggest that you pick some FA up-that's not medical advice of course, just my views! We also started taking a chilled out approach, but it very quickly turned into a mad control freak mission, led by an obsessive crazy woman (that would be me!) :rotfl:

You ladies have all been amazing with all your words of wisdom and support and I really can't thank you all enough. It's now just a waiting game for us and keeping up our PMA!

Looks like I will be out of the game for this month. :( I am pretty sure today is the day I am ov'ing and DH has been out all day today helping a friend move house and text an hour ago saying he doesn't know when he will be back.... So eggy will probably have been missed by the time he gets back.

How certain are you you ov today? tonight could be a good time to BD.

    Evening everyone.

Well, CD5 and AF has departed, wish she had taken this god awful headache with her too though, have had it about 5 or 6 hours now and it's doing my head in, literally. On a brighter note my thermometer came this morning along with 20 OPK's and a chart. I'm not sure when I should start doing OPK's as don't know how long my cycle will be. I was thinking maybe around CD10? What do you guys think?

Also got some grapefruit juice to drink too. Will mix it with other juices though lol or I will pull a face where my eyes go >< lol.

What has everyone been up to today? I've been for a drive out to Masham and Lightwater Valley and bought my 2nd to last christmas present :) Only one more to order in a week and a half time and I am finished :) come back to a load of stress though. PG friend and her OH have split and I feel in the middle cos one is my friend and the other is OH's cousin and best friend so we don't know what to do/say.

I buy pink grapefruit juice from Sains it tastes really nice.

How long on average are your cycles? Or have you just come off the pill?

This is my first cycle since having the implant removed.

I know I should be taking folic acid but I have a problem taking tablets so thought if i ate more folic acid enriched foods it would compensate.

I'm useless at taking tablets as well, but folic acid is tiny and really easy to take, go on-go for it! :D

    Small....

The tablets I have are like horse tranquillisers they are huge. But then they are the pregnacare (?!) tablets which have all the other recommended vitamins in so probably why they are larger.

thats why I havent bought anything like that because I know I wont be able to swallow them even if i cut them in half.

So Im taking folic acid and normal vitamin tablets.
  • Evening all!

So, it's my birthday today and no AF! That's good anyway, but FF worked my LP out wrong so she's due tomorrow. I had one totally wacky cycle in September that was only a 9 day LP, so that brings the average down.

Felt like death warmed up yesterday - really really sore throat, sneezing and feeling like the flu coming on. Bleurghh. Throat still sore today, but managed to get an excessive amount of cakes down it :)

Hot and cold flashes all today along with general aches and pains, think I'm definitely coming down with something. Boooo.

QQ - that's fab news about the unprompted BD! Brilliant!! Fingers crossed you catch the eggie :)

MrsHappy - sorry about the SA result - I'm sure the next one will be better, once your OH is better recovered from his illness. Poor thing.

You all seem to be doing fantastically on your BD'ing missions - good luck to those having peaks and ov'ing soon.
