I didn't realise you could onlytake 6 cycles or clomid and that was it. I knew about the6 cycles but presumed you could try it again at a later date.
Not 100% sure, but having just googled seems that way.
If it didn't work after 6 times, it'll probably never work:o

There is another similar drug called femara. Don't think there's a limit to that, and it doesn't linger in the body like Clomid, but I think there's a slight risk to birth defects:(
QQ - I'm confused about the cancer comment. I might be misreading but are you saying there's a link between clomid and cancer?
There's some connection between Clomid and ovarian cancer.

In my case I ov'd fine with Clomid but didn't get pg:o
So assuming ov is not the problem, continuing with Clomid is pointless.
We did 3 IUIs after that, and then onto IVF.

Good thing about IVF is that it can tell you what the problem was. In our case the problem was probably my age and the egg, and everything else was fine:o So I'm doing Chinese medicine to improve the egg:cool:

Chinese medicine takes at least 5 months to work, I've been on it for 4 months, I should be pg any day now:D

What's IUI? Not that II really know what IVF is exactly but I've heard more of IVF.

Well QQ I really, really hope that the chinese medicine kicks in and works its magic for you soon x x x

Call me nieve but I've just been reading the SMEP plan and I'm a little shocked by how important it is to have ewcm. Mine has been watery but rarely ewcm. I am cheered by a lady on babyandbump posting that she got pg after implanon and her periods only lasted a day - so guess I shouldn't dispair (although on the SMEP advice I may be glugging cough syrup this month! :D)

I reakon thread party is in order the day QQ posts her BFP

Kaemi when I got my BFP this time I didn't have any EWCM that I noticed. I only saw wet CM despite me drinking grapefruit juice. I did have some EWCM the first time I got a BFP so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Wet CM is still fertile CM. :)

IUI is when they wash DH's sperm and insert it into the uterus, near the tubes via catheter.
IVF is when you take out your eggs, place it into a dish (test tube?) with DH's sperm and put the resulting embryo back in the uterus after 3-5 days:)

    Are the processes painful?

No, I'm lucky in that I don't mind needles and have insensitive private parts, and didn't get much side effects:p

After IVF I had OHSS (ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome) and bloated up quite badly, but as I wasn't pg, it subsided after few days:o
