    I'm the opposite :o

If a work colleague comes in with a baby I go out of my way to avoid them (unless it's a close colleague). I don't like having babies thrusted at me unless it's someone I'm close to.

I just love babies, if I can have a 5 minute cuddle from a tiny person it makes me feel wonderful, even if the broodiness that follows is so overwhelming it hurts. :o

Just note that I said I'll *let* people have cuddles if they want but I'll not thrust them on anyone who doesn't want it as I know that whilst some women are like me and will basically grab any old strangers baby just for a brief cuddle whilst others can't bear the thought of holding a child that isn't their own. :o I have a work friend who has 2 lovely little girls now but was TTC for 3 years before having her first and she told me that she got so bitter over that time that even now, 8 years after first starting TTC, she can't bear to look at pregnant women and never looks at or holds colleagues babies when they bring them in because she hasn't managed to get over that awful feeling that took over her. It's so sad. :(

    Congratulations Helenlk! :j

I really swing between the two extremes. Sometimes I have to stop myself just hugging random pg women, or picking up strangers' babies (obv. I would never actually do this - but the temptation is sooo strong sometimes lol!) Other times just the sight of a bump reduces me to tears and I have to run away. I do love babies though, however much it hurts I could never turn down a baby cuddle.

    I hate bumps :o

As excited as I am to be an Auntie in 8 months I'm kind of dreading watching my SIL grow. Might just have to avoid her in the last few months and reappear when my niece/nephew arrives! :p

Good excuse for some holidays for you and OH nearer the time.... anyway, you'll be pg yourself by then so nothing to worry about :D.

I love my niece to bits, I absolutely adore her and love being an auntie more than anything.

WHAT??!! Your name's not tealover?! :rotfl:

I always find it so funny when I find out somebody's 'real' name on a forum, I get so used to 'knowing' people by their username. When I take a step back and think about it, it's a bit weird, the whole internet forum thing... but it's amazing too, the support you get from people you have never even met!

    P.S. My surname doesn't even begin with J, and I'm not 28....

I don't really know how I coped before forums, who did I talk to?? I mean, I do have actual friends IRL of course, but I don't sit and chat to them all day.... and I certainly don't chat to them about CM, how often I BD and the position of my cervix :o

Exactly! I have lots of lovely friends IRL, but I can't imagine talking to anybody about my cervix!!!!! And I think the how often we BD thing is very personal, and I don't feel it would be fair on DH to whinge to friends (who know him ) about it!

What a great forum. You guys! :D
