Flee - that is utter carp. My OH is 26 And all it took was a GP to give him some forms and some pots that he had to return to our local hospital. We have children. We are in the same position in that my FS wanted OH's SA before she could book me in for my HSG.
I hate it wen doctors are so ill educated, or even worse lie, to their patients. Did I tell you all that one of the GP's at my surgery told me progesterone creams didn't exist? When I queried what they would give to someone who is deficient he told me it wasn't possible and that one's body HAD to produce it. Idiot.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

The amount of rubbish I've heard about endo over the years from medical 'professionals' is unbelievable - it will show up on an ultrasound, it will go away if you get pg, it only hurts during AF..... grr! :mad:0 -
Hi all
QQ Im CD09 and have ewcm is this not too early to have this? apologies for asking but you may recall i hadnt noticed last month! lol....... xxx0 -
Hello ladies - I'm back from my holidays
Have been skim reading, and it looks like I haven't missed any BFPs?! Theres must be a bumper load to come for the last half of the month
Looks like some of you have had a tough time so have a lot of ((((hugs)))) from me.
Welcome to all the newbies as well - may your stays all be short and sweet
I had a really fab time. Went to Oxford, then on to the New Forest and also had a day visit to the Isle of Wight. Also had some friends visit and camp for the night while we were away which was just fab. It was super and relaxing, altho I am quite sunburnt and bitten (by mozzies - not by DH):rotfl:
Have had some EWCM which is early for me, as not expecting to ov for a few days. Altho who knows really as my cycles are still all over the place. I got another normal result whilst I was away, so all is good there. It feels kind of naughty NTNP really tho still, as I had it in my head that I would have to wait so long, that I feel like I 'should' wait. Tis a confusing load of emotions still going on.Married my lobster in July 2011
TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait
 2013 is going to be our lucky year :dance:0 -
Sorry to gatecrash the thread (long time lurker) but wanted to say to Flee that when hubby and I were TTC for 12 months I went to the doctor and he sent DH for a sperm analysis on NHS that very day.
So annoying when people try to fob you off! Would def question it and hopefully you'll get the SA
Trying to live a good life on little money :T0 -
Hi all you lovely ladies!
Sorry i've not been on for a while but i have been lurking.
Sending all massive hugs to those that are finding it hard at the moment, all the CD1's, and anyone just wanting a hug.
I have not had high hopes this month for no reason but after getting my hopes up so high last month it sort of kicked me back to reality. I did a cheeky test on monday (AF was due on Tues) but it was a BFN. Had some nasty headaches which usually comes with AF and some cramps but not as bad. Done a test this morning and i think i can see a really faint tlp. But i am not getting my hopes up and going to do another test tomorrow or friday morning to see if it is any clearer. Hopefully we will know one way or the other!

Flee, it's probably because you already have kids.
Good luck with the SA:o
Lilymay, even the FS can be ill educated:o
teaandcupcakes, CD9 is not too early, make sure you BD!:j
abis, welcome back, glad you had a relaxing time:wave:
And yay for the normal results:j
Helenlk, get a digi!:j0 -
Well according to FF today is 'due day' for AF... and I am cramping sooo bad so I expect the witch with a vengeance tonight / tomorrow. If that happens then this will be the second month in a row I've only had a 21 day cycle. I know my cycles can be a bit irregular but that seems really short - and I know I messed up my temps so they're not 100% reliable but I'm really not sure I got a peak or EWCM either so unsure if I actually OV'd
It doesn't help that my symptoms for impending AF are nausea, cramping, sore boobs and needing a wee every other minute - so any month I'm even a day late I start SSing  Bad Amy!
This whole TTC business is really confusing me, and I know I'm only in my second month of it all so I really shouldn't be whinging yet; but it's just baffling and I feel like I (and my body) aren't doing anything right somehowOh well, trying to see arrival of AF as a clean slate and a new month to try to work things out a little better and get more knowledgeable and prepared. I don't think it helps that my little sister has a 5 month old, my other little sister is 6 months pregnant, my friend's being induced (with her second!) tomorrow and I've just got a new job on a labour and delivery ward :rotfl: Don't think I could be broodier if I tried!
I wasn't expecting it to happen straight away, as we have quite a bit to contend with - but I still can't help being disappointed that it didn't work out that way IYSWIMSorry if any of that came across as insensitive or whiny to those who've been here longer - I don't mean to bring the mood down or annoy anyone, just having one of those days. Anyway I'm predicting LOTS of BFPs for the end of August and throughout September so keep up the positivity!
Big hugs to those who need / want them and I will try to be a bit cheerier next time I post0 -
((hugs)) amyloofoo - you are not insensitive or whiny at all. TTC is hard work sometimes, even in the very early days, and I felt very disappointed after a couple of months that I wasn't pregnant, it's totally normal to feel that way!
I think as time goes on it's easy to forget that it was difficult/stressful/disappointing early on. It's something that we all really want, and when it's not happening it's not much fun!
That said, it is completely normal for it to take a while! It takes something like 80% of fertile couples with NO problems whatsoever anything up to a year to get pregnant! So don't worry too much, but have a ((hug)) and feel free to come on here and chat anytime0 -
miss maid - I'd say at 12DPO it doesn't really matter if the temp is a bit off. It's probably more important to be accurate when you're trying to determine when ov will be. Once you've ov'd, you don't need the temps as such - AF will turn up or not regardless. Fingers crossed it's an AF no-show this time!
Do you know what I hadn't even considered stopping temping! As you say it doesn't really matter after I've ov'd so !!!! it I'm not temping again until my next cycle0
