Trying for a Baby Part 7

Thanks Birdie - I haven't really had to deal with too many of them thankfully, but my MIL is starting to put the pressure on - she was asking DH the other day when we're going to think about having children, and how nice it would be to have grandchildren. I don't really want them to know we're trying or about the potential PCOS, but at the same time I think it might be an idea for DH to have a quiet word with her so that she stops making comments. It makes me feel like a bit of a failure, which DH assures me I am not, but hey ho I am a hormonal woman so I think it's only natural to feel that way!
My FIL has convinced himself that he won't live to see 60, he's 57 now, and he's putting the pressure on more and more for us to give him grandchildren whilst he's 'still around to see them'. No idea why he's decided he's checking out early but he's a bit of a drama llama so is probably saying it so we'll all give him attention. whatever the reason, I'm annoyed and frustrated that the state of my uterus seems to be up for general discussion within the family and I know full well the feeling of being a 'failure' because I can't just get knocked up the minute our parents tell us that they're ready to have grandkids! Really tempted to tell FIL that his youngest son and apple of his eye has to go and w**k into a pot to get his swimmers counted... might shut him up! :rotfl:
Sorry that so many eggs failed QQIt only takes one though so keep the PMA up!

She is mostly very sweet but she has her moments! Shes currently upstairs trying to get back in my good books as her school report came back today and says she doesn't always try her hardest and she needs to make the right choices when it comes to work. I haven't really liked her teacher this year tho. He doesn't seem right for teaching 5-6 year olds I don't think, and I think thats been reflected in how a lot of the mums of kids in his class feel. Hopefully next year will be better as the groups are being swapped around and she will have a smaller class, with hopefully a better mix of children.
Awww, was it all the smaller eggs that failed QQ? What is it they say? Its better to try to succeed than fail to try?? Something like that anyways... And like Birdie says - you only need 1 good egg anyways
If anyone asks me (obv some people are unaware of the miscarriage/molar pregnancy) about when we are going to have a baby I just say we're working on it. And then the usually say, ooo, ahhhh (like they're watching fireworks!) and then don't ask any more about it, lol!! It saves anyone putting their foot in it, plus sort of answers their question without going in to major details about it.
I spoke to the molar nurse the other day about how I am struggling at the moment. She said that once my levels are at normal we will have a better chat about TTC sooner, as I am getting so frustrated about it all. She said that it carries a slightly higher risk of it happening again if we TTC sooner - but its my risk to take so we will have a better chat about it all soon.
I'm feeling a bit better about everything again at the mo and my PMA is backI've been referred for counselling, but it may take a while. At least I am in the system now tho, and if I do TTC sooner then I think counselling will help with that too as it will be more daunting next time round I expect. I had a lovely weekend and my frowny face has gone for now again
Thanks for the ideas for anniversary presents btw. I still haven't got anything sorted yet and its a week today  Also its my best friends birthday on friday and I haven't sorted anything for her  Have been too wrapped up in my own problems lately - am never usually this disorganised with thingsMarried my lobster in July 2011
TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait
 2013 is going to be our lucky year :dance:0 -
abis, 1 mature and 7 immature ones failed:o
As you say, it is better to try and fail than not to try at all:o
Hope you get the counselling, and you are back ttcing soon:)0 -
Hi all.
I am feeling really positive this cycle
QQ - Big hugs about your bad news. I love your PMA though, keep it up! You only need 1 little eggy to work.
Abis - Really hope you get the counselling and are feeling ready to TTC again soon. Your DD sounds hilarious and very cute
Birdie and MrsJ - I really feel for you being put under pressure to have babies. I have always had the opposite. "Don't ever have children, they ruin your life". Yes, my mother is a bit of a cynical old witch.
NikNok and TeamLowe - Sorry I can't with the spotting/dodgy AF but good luck just in case!
COMP - I don't think either of my brothers would EVER send me a message like that! I'd be so shocked if they did, I don't even know what I would do!
Mog - Welcome backI've never fancied cruising, but glad you had a good time.

I don't often get questioned about babies, only really get them when people see me with other people's babies, and get the awwwww so when are you having you're own.
However FIL is starting to act a bit wierd about it. He's 73 now, and has no other kid's apart from my hubby. He's also a big believer in things being passed down the family line. He knows that things aren't going smooth in the way of ttc. And kept telling OH the other night that if we need money for that, then he will help, really pushing the idea.
House was really nice, perfect for our needs, going to put an offer in. But luckily the owners want us to discuss it all with them, rather than going through the estate agents at the moment.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
I don't get asked by ohs family when we have kids as they know he has some problems cause of his twisting of his ball as a kid and his dad had probs conceiving and his farther was told he was never gonna have kids and here oh is......
I am also temping with the opks but for some reason this time round no ov yet were as last cycle with just the temp i ov on day 13 am i worrying needlessly or do i need to be a bit worried by this change???
QQ so sorry on the egg front but it only needs one your not out yet stay positive hun0 -
atton, the first part of your cycle can vary wildly, it's only the luteal phase which is meant to stay the same
QQ, i got like 10 days of ewcm and i got lovely temps which have dropped today, chart overlay looks like it's three days before last month. usual spotting is for two days before AF and is different to this. i'm guessing i'm just going to have to put it down to a crap egg/hormoneswas so hopeful things were finally working out ok for me. silly me should know nothing goes well for me. used up all my luck finding DH x x
