Mmm I love steak might have some this weekend :)

Don't know if you are a big drinker but you could have a nice bottle or night out. I am sure you know best what will cheer you up the main thing is PMA and onwards and upwards to next cycle. I know it is easy for me to say (hugs) x x x

Yea i'll see next week I guess. I'm still down in the dumps from yeseterday so PMA non existent at moment. I just don't know how the likes of QQ etc do this month in month out for years. It's only 2 months and I am emotionally drained from it all already. If it doesn't happen next month i'm gonna ditch the temping.

woke in the early hours to the pain of AF arrival. humbug. If period pain is mother natures way of giving women a vague idea of what they will go through in childbirth, then i am fed up of the training, i want my Olympic event now!!!!

    we simply arent dancing enough!
That's the problem with us too:o
nice calming colour scheme in the bedroom, nice new bed.....sounds like the perfect baby making scenario to me...
Lovely:happyhear What colour are you thinking of?

Do I take OV from yesterday when it was +tive or guess at when it actually may have happened as it could be today or tomorrow I suppose.
I'd say you will ov sometime today or tomorrow, but keep BDing until Sunday in case you ov late:cool:
We have no real friends here - we are English living in Bulgaria at the moment so you are all invaluable to me, thank you.
    Wow! How's Bulgaria?

I won't be testing until AF is at least a week late so don't go getting your hopes up for me any time soon.
    Very wise:cool:

CBFM has given me a high today - I'm only CD9 today, and I'm sure I've never had a high this early before - will check back on the old thread. Well sticking to sperm meets egg plan, so BD last night, then will do so again tomorrow night.
Sounds like a big juicy eggy:cool:
No news from me, apart from my temps are high - around what my coverline was for last month. Shouldn't they be low after AF and before ov? Just weird I guess.
Temps at the beginning of the cycle can be erratic due to hormones. But it's not that much higher than your previous coverline:)
WHY does removing a vitamin from stupid tablets make them more expensive!? Very annoying. And WHY are they they size of horse suppositories?
I suppose they contain more expensive ingredients. Nothing but the best for your baby:D
Also, stupid plastic surgery waiting lists :( I have to get a cyst removed from my face and it's going to be ages. I feel like a proper old-style leper.
    ((Hugs)):o
Also, the B&B I stayed at yesterday night slipped me a dodgy sausage at brekkie, so I was running to the toilet last night when I should have been watching torchwood.
    Poor you (((hugs))).
Can't I just hide in a corner here somewhere? I'll be quiet, I promise...
Of course, stay as long as you can:)

I know a few were having issues like me of very light AFs, so I thought I'd share some gory details. Reading up a healthy AF should be 6-9 tbsp of fluid lost

I didn't temp last month, and I haven't so far this month however am intending to. given I have so far OV-d CD 13-17, when would people begin temping? I was thinking CD8 or 9 as I know FF needs a certain number of temps before a rise to accept it as OV.
    CD8 or 9 sounds fine:)

Spotting last night. Temp drop today. All heading for what I suspect ...

Blood test wasn't bad at all, she took 4 tubes of blood. Bit confused as the Dr requested Prog, LH, FSH, FBC and TFT or something like that. Dr Google says some of them should be done on CD3??? Does my Dr know what he is doing?
There are usually 2 blood tests, one at CD3 and one at 7DPO.
Usually LH, FSH are done at CD3. My thyroid thingy was done at CD3 too. Not sure why your doctor is doing them at 7DPO, but I'm no doctor:huh:
I get the results next Friday. AF due next Friday as well, so its going to be a big day.
Fingers crossed you won't get AF:)

I think I have worked out all my dates now, after the appearance of AF 2 days early!!

I use emma's diary website to work out ovulation dates, it states 29 August - 3 Sept

I am kind of going back to basics here, but is it best just to BD as much as poss during the 5/6 days or is there a time right in the middle when you are most likely to be OV??? (confused smilie where ever it is!)

I still don't really get what temping is for either is it for predicting OV???

As I am only 2nd month TTC my only real experience is I worked out when OV should be, POAS (ovulation) that day and it was positive!

So some beginners guidance (Year 2 Biology anyone :P) would be great

Thanks in advance for all your help x x

Someone else will probably give a better answer soon, especially as I've forgotten most of this but here goes.

Temping gives you an idea of your cycle. Your temp starts low then just after ovulation it dips then rises. If you are pregnant it stays high but if not it drops back down again in time for AF. So if you do it for a few months you will be more familiar with your cycle and can predict pregnancy without testing.

A better prediction on the day of ovulation is the OV tests but you can also look at CM to tell you when you are most fertile. You can also check your cervix high and firmness but I can't remember what it means!

When and how often to have sex is a big question. The link I posted to a few days ago with the SMEP seems to work well for most people whether you have had a miscarriage or not.

I'm wondering if it's because of the evening primrose oil, as that's the only thing I've changed this cycle. Fingers crossed anyway.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Had steak last night! I thought A - I know i'm not pregnant and B - People eat/drink bad before they know they are pregnant and it doesn't harm them. So i'm actually not avoiding any foods until I get that test +.

One of the things I will be avoiding during the 2ww is ibuprofen. I will never know if it was a factor in my miscarriage but it is implicated in a higher rate of miscarriages and I took quite a bit to get me over a cold while at a wedding during my 2ww.

I'm a bit different in that I am older (and wiser), so I don't expect it to happen immediately:p

You can't predict ov online. You have to listen to your body.
Do you get cm? Or get swollen in that area?
OPKs are good too. You'll ov 12-36hrs after the first +OPK.

As for temping, it will only tell you when to stop BDing, it won't predict ov. It can only tell you that you've ov'd after the event.

SMEP method is good in that you BD every other day until ov. And BD every day for 3-4 days from a day before ov (or something like that, haven't read it for a long time, and DH can only BD every 5 days:o).

Oh yea sorry. Temping is really only good for locating when you HAVE ovulated. Whilst on a 1 month basis this is useless as you won't know when it will be - on a long term basis it will help you locate your usual days that you ov to maximise rumpy pumpy during these times. Eg since January I have located that I ov between 13-15 days. With a usual day of 14. Once you have ovulated the temperture begins to rise. And after 3 days of risen temperature fertility friend chart will give you a red line that will show you exactly which day you ovulated on. Adding cervical mucus notes helps it to locate this also. Hope that helps a tad!
