  • Oh no! How am I 8 pages behind in the new thread already!!!

Glimmer and Sararaa - huge congrats and hugs on your BFP'S - AMAZING!!!

Perhaps this is the lucky thread for us all :)

No news from me, apart from my temps are high - around what my coverline was for last month. Shouldn't they be low after AF and before ov? Just weird I guess.

I also got some pre-pregnancy vits yesterday as I read the guidance on my regular multivit and it said that it shouldn't be taken if TTC because it contains vitamin A, which can cause birth defects.

WHY does removing a vitamin from stupid tablets make them more expensive!? Very annoying. And WHY are they they size of horse suppositories?

ASDA have their own brand ones (normally 4.50 for 45 tabs) on 3 for £10 at the minute, so not too bad.

Also, stupid plastic surgery waiting lists :( I have to get a cyst removed from my face and it's going to be ages. I feel like a proper old-style leper.

Also, the B&B I stayed at yesterday night slipped me a dodgy sausage at brekkie, so I was running to the toilet last night when I should have been watching torchwood.
So, hmmpf. Right, hopefully that's my grumping over for the day! :D

    hugs, dj xx

  • Thanks everyone, it's very exciting (if a little scary!)

I don't want to go to the <12wk thread, it took me AGES to join this one and I'm a bit scared. Can't I just hide in a corner here somewhere? I'll be quiet, I promise...

DJ, I know what you mean about the vitamins. I was taking Boots ones, which I got on 3for2, and though massive they taste ok, but I've switched to the Sainsburys ones (also 3for2) because they have more calcium in them and they are not only enormous but also taste rank. But on the up side, as they're from the supermarket I can sneak them into the food shop and they come out of the food budget instead of my 'play' money ;)

Obviously this is a lucky thread!

Congratulations ladies what a great start to the new thread, I wish you both a happy and healthy 9 months.

I know a few were having issues like me of very light AFs, so I thought I'd share some gory details. Reading up a healthy AF should be 6-9 tbsp of fluid lost (this combines blood and mucus and lots of other lovely bits and bobs). I use a mooncup (which as well as being MSE and earth friendly nicely enables me to guage these things), which last night I dutifully used my measuring spoons to discover it holds pretty much exactly 1 tbsp if filled to the inner rim. I'm on CD3 now, and AF is certainly on her way out. So far I've had around 2.5 (maybe if I get hopeful 3) tbsp so am well below a healthy level. Still, if it drags on a few more days I might make it up to 4tbsp. Hope that helps someone and no one has turned green.

I didn't temp last month, and I haven't so far this month however am intending to. given I have so far OV-d CD 13-17, when would people begin temping? I was thinking CD8 or 9 as I know FF needs a certain number of temps before a rise to accept it as OV.

I think I have worked out all my dates now, after the appearance of AF 2 days early!!

I use emma's diary website to work out ovulation dates, it states 29 August - 3 Sept

I am kind of going back to basics here, but is it best just to BD as much as poss during the 5/6 days or is there a time right in the middle when you are most likely to be OV??? (confused smilie where ever it is!)

I still don't really get what temping is for either is it for predicting OV???

As I am only 2nd month TTC my only real experience is I worked out when OV should be, POAS (ovulation) that day and it was positive!

So some beginners guidance (Year 2 Biology anyone :P) would be great

Thanks in advance for all your help x x
