Birdie - I think my OH wishes I was back on the pill too!
mrsj28 - love the logic with the peppermint tea. Would it work with a polo too?? :D
    claire16c - mmmm... oreos!

chocolateislife - good luck for the meeting. Hope they come up with a plan that you're happy with.

Am supposed to be writing my objectives at work today. Am struggling as my main objectives for the year are a) have baby, b) p$ss off out of here before they move me 55 miles away. May have to reword that slightly...

and i went to a pampered chef party last night and spent very little but got some very useful things, including a pineapple wedger and measuring spoon that will fit in a spice jar!

I can totally relate to that - my boss is always asking about long term career plans and progression and all I'm thinking is 'get pregnant, get out of here...'

(Do you think we'll all regret this attitude when we have school age children and no career?? I doubt it.... having a baby is so much more important for me.... I'd have MUCH bigger regrets over an amazing career but no children)

How strange, I was at a Pampered Chef party last night... and I also bought that fancy measuring spoon! :p I told OH about it afterwards and he was like... 'You spent how much on a measuring spoon?! Why can't you just use a normal one?!' :rotfl: I love the stuff, just wish it was cheaper!

Hugs for AF, hope it's not too bad considering you've been waiting so long for your cycle to reset! :)

I know what you mean about setting work objectives too, I had a review a couple of months ago and was asked, 'When do you see yourself next year' and thought, 'On maternity leave!', then 'Where do you see yourself in 3 years', 'Working part time and planning to go on maternity leave again!' :o Had to come up with some rubbish about how I'm 'still considering my options for growth in my role'... :p

I don't think I'll regret having kids but no career. I've never been interested in being a career woman and the thought of actually having to be a manager and deal with all the stress and long hours that the role brings makes me feel all clammy! :o I just wish my OH was more driven and earned enough for me to stay home with the babies. :)

I'm so glad it's not just me that's having to bite my tongue in meetings with HR and line managers!

It's really difficult here atm with the upcoming relocation. It makes absolutely no sense for me not to leave the company - it would be a 110 mile, 3 hr+ round trip, to a job that everyone knows I don't like anyway. The really obvious thing would be for me to leave. But..... if I can just get pg before they move I can take paid maternity leave then worry about work in a year's time.

But obv. I can't say that! The relocation is all anyone talks about here and it's so difficult not be able to talk honestly about the reasons behind my decisions.
