TTC40 - I am honestly so pleased you got your hsg, it's not your fault the nhs system in my area is so rubbish. I will get my test it's just annoying to have to wait. I think we get told our results straight away after the test but then have to wait to see the nhs fs to refer us for private ivf.
Squirrel - I hate people keep asking. I simply tell them that DH and I have discussed it and decided not to have any children which is plausible as we met later in life and DH already has a grown up dd from previous marriage. I really do wish they wouldn't ask though, it's such a personal question0 -
Sq1rrell5 I totally get where youre coming from! I don't think some people understand quite how much it hurts when they keep asking/saying those kind of things.
I have a couple of stock answers depending on whose asking, those I am very close to I have told the truth, that we have been trying for ages and how hard it is. Other answers include "we're working on it" said with a cheeky grin, or "oooo yeah one day.........." Or say vaguely "when the time is right" or "its on the to-do list"
I also say stuff about wanting to save up to move house before starting a family.
With regards to the diet i tell them I am doing weightwatchers and I'm not paying my weekly fee for nothing so no thankyou I don't want a cake.
Now what should I say to those who keep telling me it will happen when I stop trying?
Also are any of you 35 or nearly cuz its freaking me out a bit, is it all downhill from here (fertility wise)If at first you dont succeed, try, try again0 -
Evening ladies
Woah, busy few days on the thread, I've been away for work and just come back and skim read. Will go back and have a proper read shortly, but just wanted to send big ((hugs)) to Definitely Blonde - thanks for updating us, and so sorryLook after yourself and hope you will get your BFP and forever baby very soon.
MLB - great news that the digi has confirmed for you. Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months.
First part of my cycle seems to be flying by which is great - 13DPO already. Hope I'll OV in the next 7-10 days, judging by past cycles, but we are trying to BD every 2-3 days regardless. Managed every 3 day so far, and tonight is day 3 but I am soooo not in the mood so I think we might wait until tomorrow!0 -
Wow this thread moves so fast, think I've spent 2 hours reading this evening!
Congratulations mlbarrett :-)
Sorry to hear your news DB, very courageous what you posted.
Squirrel I've taken to telling the warts 'n' all truth about ttc and the problems i've had, tends to stun people into silence for a bit!
Thers's so many things I wanted to comment on when I was reading but I can't remember now I've sat down to write, will have to try and keep up.0 -

LOVE the stamp bag! I am always so impressed by your projects!
I see there has been a little bit of trouble again. I'm not getting involved in the cause of it but would like to say to those thinking of leaving (either those that were somehow involved or those that are new and have been put off) DON'T DO IT. Things might get heated once in a blue moon but for the vast majority of the time this thread is a brilliant source of knowledge, support and laughter and it would be a shame to miss out x x x
What she said... and as QQ said (I'm running out of multi quoting ability so am copying and pasting!):
Don't anyone leave
This is a thread for everyone, and sometimes blow ups happen as in real life, but let's draw a line here now, and continue our TTC quest together

Sarare, good vibes and kaley (I think I've got all of them right? sorry if I've missed anybody) This is a fantastic thread, I really love it, there has been quite a heated debate over the past couple of days but I have found this a very supportive and friendly place, very welcoming and lots of great advice.
Sorry to hear a few people have decided to leave the thread, I really value everybody's contribution so you will be missed! And to any pregnant lurkers, I love it when you pop in and say hello/give advice/congratulate BFPsBut that's just me

Crikey. Come on af. Stop messing about. Thought yesterday was cd1. It wasn't. Sure today was cd1. It isn't. I know I'm out. Temp drop. Cramp like you wouldn't believe. Spotting. Some red flow, just not af standard. Fed up!
Probs cd1 tomorrow.

Thank you to you and others.Does make me feel a bit better
Think I may make an appointment with my doctor for a chat to relax me about those issues a bit seems a good idea.
I'm getting excited now!
Our bodies are designed to give birth! You'll be fine! I'd recommend you read Childbirth Without Fear by Grantley !!!!!!-Read, and anything by Ina May Gaskin. She runs a commune in America, and they deliver babies with no doctors and the only baby she has lost in childbirth was one of her own. She has had a manoeuvre named after her, which opens up the pelvis to get big babies out. She believes there is never any good reason why a woman can't birth naturally, assuming there is no placenta previa. Inspiring.
DB - I am so so sorry to hear your news. As you know, I had two mcs last year so I know where you are right now and it is such a horrible place to be. I know hugs can't make it better but have as many virtual ones from me as you need. My heart goes out to you.
dlbarrett - CONGRATULATIONS! Told ya it was a BFP!!
Squirrel - I just tell people I've had three miscarriages and that trying to have a baby isn;t as easy as ordering one from Argos. I already have a child but as most of my friends are now having their second ones, I get a lot of 'when are you going give her a baby brother or sister?'. I find it very insensitive, but I think people are often just trying to find something to say.
I am 15dpo topmorrow and have amazed myself by not testing yet! Woop woop! Longest I've ever managed lol. Trying to hold out till Tuesday as will be CD32 which is my average cycle. So sick of wasting tests and getting BFNs. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
