Fluffnutter went through IVF with donor eggs to conceive.
and I am delighted that she is pregnant. However, she posted "My eggs are dried out husks" to "top" the rants of a couple of other ladies who are still ttc and within 24 hours of mrshappy posting to say her OH's third SA was zero and their dreams of starting a family were over forever, and a few hours after bigzippy posted to say her MIL has a few days left and wont see a BFP, and predictably my reaction, and I assume others who read it, was to feel an equal measure of sympathy for her, and a belief that she had just learned that she had news of an equal magnitude and was in need of support. To know that she is in fact happily pregnant puts a rather different complexion on things IMHO.

Goodvibes - welcome to the thread, sounds like the time is right for you. Probably a good idea to try and bd regularly for first few months and just monitor the lengths of your cycles just to get an idea of when ov might be. I would suggest that you keep it low key for few months at least rather than put pressure on yourself to use ov sticks or temp. Any questions please do ask as there are lots of knowledgeable people on this thread and there is no such thing as too much information on here!0

I was very hopeful Qq! My chart was most promising it's ever been and today, 14 dpo temp was still up. Got to admit I really thought I was in with a chance this time. Anyway. Should be used to it by now! Going to have a bit of chocolate after my dinner! Got a mini milky bar waiting for me!
Aw ((hugs)) marie, I was scrutinising my chart for elevated temps towards the end of the cycle too, but I've decided Im not going to take my temps after I ovulate, as together with SSing, its too stressful!
Better luck next cycle marie - what cycle are you on?
Im on cycle 2/3..We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

A friend of mine has literally just given birth to a healthy baby boy. So pleased for her
Anyway, just to comment about the above. I understand how emotive the whole TTC issue can be, and particularly how hard it is to know, see or hear of other pregnant women or those who have just given birth. I personally appear to have no problem getting pregnant but I really appreciate the support from the ladies on here whilst I am on that journey whether it be long or short.
I may be a newbie to these boards, but I don't think we should be nasty to one another simply because 1 person is pregnant and another is (sadly) not.
Anyway, the sun is shining here and I am going to take the boy for a walk (so I don't sit at home and snack!)14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
I wish I didn't have to stop at just one weeny bar of choc but it's all my diabetes will allow unfortunately!
This new cycle is number 24 in total
I surprise myself with my optimism as each cycle comes to an end!
I'm still hopeful! Got my health sorted out now so it's only a matter of time!0 -

I wasn't aware I was being nasty - just begrudging the attempt, as someone who does post here quite regularly and tries to share any info I've picked up over many years ttc, to offer support and advice to someone who doesn't post a lot on this thread (hence why I didn't remember her back story) and didn't actually need any sympathy or advice, but seemed to me to be posing as someone who did :cool:0 -
