Trying for a Baby Part 7

Hello ladies
Codemonkey - Is QQ's list right? Are you 10DPO? You really would only get a very very faint line at that point anyway. My 11DPO test really was a squint in the right light kind of test. DH wasn't sure if I was seeing things or not - having not studied all the BFN's in as much detail as I had. :rotfl:
I'm 14DPO now and this mornings test is really the only one that you could see and go - definately positive that one!!
I am checking mine daily on the IC's just to see if the levels are increasing to keep an eye on whethers its a chemical pregnancy or not.
Sense of taste and smell are usually the first things that change in pregnancy. I can't drink coffee already, and tea turns my stomach.
Try n hang on a couple of days and test again then. Fingers crossed for you.
Glad AF has gone now QQ! She likes to hang around for a while at your house doesn't she?! Its a much shorter visit at mine usually...
Tattoo - ((hugs)) for feeling rubbish - hope you are feeling better soon.
TTC40, love the mugs
AFM - I have started my journal during pregnancy. Finding it fun so far. Altho I write too much, lol!! I am just doing it in word for now as I can add to it easily from wherever I am then. Think I would get fed up writing in an actual book.
I'm still trying to be a little cautious with my feelings just in case it is chemical or not meant to be. I had some cramps in bed this morning and was dreading going to the loo - but all was fine. Think I will be a bit super noticing off any cramps and things for a bit, but hopefully I will be able to relax soon.
I am 4 weeks today. Seems surreal still. Started to think about when to tell people. Its my DD's birthday in May, and we were going to invite all the family over anyway, so we're thinking about then. I will be 12 weeks then if all is well. So 8 weeks away. Which seems a long time not to tell people!!
I think I will have to tell my bother before then as he is also my boss - so that makes it a bit more complicated. I had awful backache with DD's pregnancy due to my ligaments loosening, so I had to avoid lifting altogether. I feel a bit achy after lifting DD yesterday, so think the same might be happening this time. WIll just have to see how things go. Am most definately trying to play things by ear, but then in my head i do get a little carried away and start planning things etc. I did that before my BFP tho, so thats nothing new :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine :cool:Married my lobster in July 2011

I will keep my fingers crossed for you codemonkey but for every story like this, there are two where it wasn't a BFP. I think the only way to stay sane is to do as you say and wait until the line is very clear. The digi tests are one of the least sensitive, so usually won't pick up a BFP unless it is also being picked up on a normal one without having to squint and dismantle the test (but will do so if there is a very faint but easily visible line).
DH left this morning on another trip to India. He has just phoned me to say his plane had to dump all its fuel and make an emergency landing in Warswaw! Apparently there was a problem with the water on board. He's being remarkably laid back about the whole thing, I think I'd be up the walls at the thought of having to get back on another plane to complete my journey. Will now worry about him until he gets back.
4dpo for me, and I did temp this morning even though I said I would stop when I got my crosshairs. Have been feeling really gassy yesterday and today and lots of acid indigestion today which is lovely! I know its far too early for any symptoms though so not reading anything into that other than glad OH is away for a few days so as not to have to endure me at my least attractive
I thought that too, that there was no way a digi would pick it up when I had to squint to see the IC and on the superdrug one but lo and behold it came up positive. I maybe just got lucky. My test when I was pregnant with DD is now over 11 years old but still has the line on itI can't bear to throw it away.

Forgot to say thank you QQ - I didn't know about the battery running out on the digi, so I managed to get a couple of pics yesterday and sure enough this morning the screen was blank on it. I think it'll be nice to look back on it.
I have kept my IC's in a line in the bathroom for now - luckily we don't have guests round! I think I am going to stick them to a piece of card, put the dates next to them and keep them. I like keeping things for memories. I didn't keep enough things from my pregnancy with DD, and you definately do forget certain things.Married my lobster in July 2011

I hate the new Dulux advert
If only it was as simple as painting the bedroom wall red
It also occurred to me this morning that if I was Henry the 8th's wife, I'd be headless by nowA very bizarre thought, I know
But it came to me after hearing DH's friend's baby's arrived today... they got married 7months after us, had a lot of problems in their first year/two of marriage and nearly broke up, and have gone through 9months of pregnancy and got their baby in their arms before we're even pregnant. It's just not fair
ETA: sorry to come on and just moan

me too! Especially as our bedroom wall WAS that colour when we moved in and the first thing I did was paint it white. Perhaps I should have left it alone.........stupid advert:o.
Hope you're ok bigz. I know things are tough for you at the moment, have you thought about maybe putting ttc on hold for a month or two to give you and your hubby a bit of a break? this whole ttc lark can be very draining and you may find putting it to the back of your mind even for a short time will help you recharge your batteries xx0
