I love the NW .We have all the hills n countryside, plus are near the coasts of Southport, Blackpool etc:D:D

I actually like Morecambe and all along the coast from there up to the lakes..breathtaking scenery:D
I saw the tide in at Southport about 4 weeks ago- i was shocked:eek:

    Hi bast & crew,

glad to hear that life is cheery. Dutch barges are superb, I have spent many happy days on a friends. Sitting in the wheelhouse is like being in a conservatory but with far better views :).

Feel rather solitary down south alone, someone please throw me a chip :D

When I was a student I had a flat right on the seafront at Morecambe - coldest place I have ever known - and I have lived within the Arctic Circle! Best views though :)

Hi and thankyou all for thinking of me... Thanks boredofbeingathome... A few things have been happening re my husbands pension which have kind of thrown us both. He was actually not turned down because he is well enough to teach, they actually agreed with him.. HOwever he was turned down because he did not get the pension application in whilst he was in pensionable service.. Ie he was not on half pay\full pay, even though he is still technically employed..... You feel very frustrated because at every turn they set out... to not give it to you, basically. We had no idea there was a time limit on this, neither did the union rep, school and local authority. However we have now consulted a union solicitor who has given us some good advice and there are a couple of things we might be able to do..At the least he will be given 3 months pay, which will pay off a couple of cards.. and reduce the debt by a few thousand.

On mse front went to m and s today and brought our tea for 50p each ... I have found out that they reduce the food to a lower price at 3 oclock.. I am quite sad :)

The wind is definately getting up boredofbeingathome and I think tomorrow is going to be a bad day. The boat tends to rock a lot in the wind, and when it gets a bit choppy the water slaps against the boat and sounds like you are in a steel drum...A little freaky !!!..

I have just had a run in with the pension folk as well- took me a year to get sorted:mad: County as helpful as ......fill in your own answer here.. I would hold onto pay for the moment so you don't find yourself going short..debts can wait until you know better what your position is going to be. Sounds like your union rep is good- i am in the NUT.:D

And call me BOB- short for BoredOBeingathome and also plays on the whole Blackadder Kate/Bob theme:D Plus it is quicker to write:o:rotfl:
