    confused mum,

Can I ask? Are you saying your child had a high enough score to get a place at your chosen school but it was initally denied you because of an Ed Psych report?

So hard to explain so here goes!!!
Children with sen under the old laws of transfer test were not allowed to sit it the reason for this I don't know. Under the new system aqe the children are allowed to sit it but only because we the parents are paying for it.

But when it comes to allocating places the score they get is not allowed to be taken into account by the post primary what has to be taken into account is physiologist reports and doctors reports.

The reason we decided to sit transfer test was to see if our child was capable of it as there was no point putting extra pressure on him if he wasn't fit for the school. We needed of worried because he was well above the lowest accepted score.

So in the end we disputed the physiologist report and we are in.

Thanks for the info confused mum.

That is such great news but it does make the Ed Psych's decision look a bit silly. I suppose they can only report what they find.

Delighted it has worked out for you.
