Hey juno, Try not to be too scared at being labelled as bipolar. Hopefully they will be able to give you the correct type of medication to control it a lot better.

Well as you can guess I am now out of hospital :)

Thank you to everyone who convinced me to seek medical advice. I went to my GP on Tuesday afternoon and explained what I had done. He was concerned and eventually after half an hour convinced me to go to the hospital. I really didn't want to go and he knew I was very scared but anyway I went. He telephoned ahead and gave me a letter to give to them in the medical assessment unit. He was very kind :)

Upon arrival I had a cannular put into the back of my hand and blood taken. For some reason I then couldn't breathe properly and was coughing lots and my chest was tight  at that point I was very scared.

Anyway, I had about 3 drips in total. One for about 15 mins, 4 hours and then 16 hours. I also had too many blood tests for my liking lol I hate needles

Physically I am better. The last blood results were fine and therefore I was medically fit to leave. I saw my social worker/CPN and we just talked for a bit and then I was allowed home :)

I'm annoyed with my parents as they went behind my back and tried to get information out of the Doctor's and nurses. Also I was informed by my CPN that my Grandad had been into the surgery and asked my Doctor what was wrong with me

So yeah, that's my update :)

I dropped by work on the way back just to say Hi and to ask whether I needed a sick note. My manager was quite rude and said you've only been off for 2 days. Uhm oookay then  she then asked me about why I was admitted and was it the same as last time e.t.c in front of the rest of the staff  thanks for that. I felt very uncomfortable.

She never asked how I was or if I was feeling better, nothing :(

I sent a text message on Tues evening to the area manager explaining that I was being kept in hospital and that there would be no staff the following day as my manager was on a course, another person was off sick and I was in hospital. I didn't have anyone elses no. to contact them. Apparently he wasn't impressed by that *sigh* I thought I was doing the right thing.

DON'T you go worrying about the plonkers at work. Your health is more important than any job! Ask your manager in future, if she wants to discuss your personal issues, to take the conversation into a private room where others cannot hear.

Some people just don't think, do they??

As i said earlier hun - your boss is nothiung less than an arragant little b*tch who does not have a heart. Atleast you know you got true friends on this thread who support ya and wish ya all the best ;)

If the AM wsnt impressed by texting him, to let him know you would not be at work, and for him to tellyour boss, to find help, incase they need it, so tey know you wont be in...... he needs to get real. Yes you had been in hosp for similer before - but she has no idea!

People who "think" they know it all, dont. The ONLY people who know about depression, and ever will be, is the people who suffer it.

Sure, you can read it in a book but that does not mean to say you will understand!

Its like reading about driving then jumping in a sports car..... will it make you a good driver?

As for the cow talking like that infront of the staff - i personally, woudl put a complaint in with head office about her on that. She should NEVER have done that. I am sure she has broken confidentualty she has - which is an offence!

I am pleased you're physicly better. I bet you feel mentally better aswell ;) stronger :D

Getting help was a huge step, but you done it hunni - YOU done it - we didnt, YOU did :D

    xx
