This isn't the place I thought it was either - no wonder it's gone quiet

Kick people when they are down - I don't need it!

Errmmmmmmmmmmmm CC... I think that's a bit unfair. Expecting people who have their own problems to involve themselves in a bunfight on your behalf. No one helped me out when I had problems with a certain member on this thread.. and I wouldn't expect them to.

I did read the thread last night however, and you did come across a bit aggressive and maybe even abusive too in parts. I think a lot of those people were just reacting to your posts.

I'm sorry you feel that way CC, but I'm afraid I have more worrying issues to deal with than battles on an internet forum. Having said that, I do like you and I would be sorry to see you leave.

Ethel,i think that is totally out of order, this thread is for suppporting each other through thick and thin,i understand your problems your going through and i have spoke about your problems/anguish/ your having with your daughter etc,not in the thread because i feared to,but i have been concerned.I have tried to show friendliness to you,but it seems to me you want to carry it on and on instead of letting bygones be bygones.Lifes to short for all that !!!!!! and our illness takes lots of different forms at different times,we all think wer're right in an argument, thats why its an argument,we also know that during an argument we all might say things out or character and sometimes we all get upset. The best thing we can do is draw a line under it and start a fresh, carrying it on does our condition only harm.We have enough to cope with apart from arguing with each other.I wish you well for the future to you and yours,i hold no malice whatsoever, but thats my choice, you have your own to make.Take care, x

CC - hope you come back soon. I wasn't attacking you, just felt people on this thread should not be blamed for not be supportive to you regarding something that has happened on another, unrelated thread.

Please guys, this thread is a haven from the !!!!!! that goes on elsewhere. Lets not ruin it. (That goes for EVERYONE, not directed at any individual).

I love this board and would hate if it became a place we couldn't run to when we are having a bad time.

Love N Hugs to you all.

Hi all. Back from the psychiatrist.

45mins of questions but he was very nice. Then the consultant knocked and I was left on my own for a few minutes. Both of them came back in and more questions were asked.

I have another appointment on 15 May and I have to bring a friend with me who will have to talk about what they see when my mood fluctuates. The Consultant talked about medication and mentioned lithium. Whenever someone says that I become worried.

Glad it went well.. hopefully you're on the right track for treatment now. I've no knowledge of Lithium at all so can't help there but I'm sure someone will be along who does :)

    I hope so too!

The questions I was asked were quite difficult to answer like, "When you are in one of your moods do you feel special? Do you feel like you could do anything?" I didn't know how to answer that!

I am going to Birmingham on my own next Tuesday for a few days - I need to clear my head of Belfast.

hmm.. sounds like they're trying to establish how much of a bi-polar side you have and how severe it is?

My dad was from Belfast.. well.. near to it - lovely accent :D

More of a countryside accent which I detest with a passion.

I tend to go away a lot - just urges I have. Was in London a few weeks ago. Stayed in the Bayswater/Queensway area. Cheap and the people and restaurants are amazing.
