    Hi All

Is anyone on Citalopram? Been on it a week now and can't function properly. Was told I could take it during the day but nearly fell asleep at the wheel of the car yesterday so won't be doing that again. I feel sick too. I am going to stick with it because I need some help but was just wondering if anyone else is on this.

We're all having crap times right now but it's so good to know you can switch on the pc and you have help and support from people on this thread.

Yeah I'm on Citalopram, you need to give it time to work and time for your body to adjust to it. I think I did feel quite sleepy when I first started taking it, but that wore off. Wish it did make me feel sleepy now, as I have nights when my insomnia drives me crazy!!

I have found it a total godsend and much better than any other meds I have taken. It really helps me stay in control and stops the constant tearfulness which I have otherwise.

Give it time, say 2 months. If you are still having nasty side effects then talk to your doctor, as there are loads of different meds out there you can try until you find the one that suits you. (I tried about 4 different ones, before found this one worked).

    Hi Miro,

Wow lovely to hear from you. Glad you are doing alright.

My biggest news is probably breaking my ankle. I fractured two of the bones and had to have an op to put a metal plate and 10 screws in to hold the bones together. Have been off work for 3 months because of it, but hopefully going back part time next week.

It really is lovely to hear from you tho. Keep popping in from time to time, it's nice to catch up.

    Miro :hello: :j :j

Good to hear from you again. I have been thinking of you mate and had been meaning to ask if anyone had heard from you but you meet me to it.

Not much happening here. I don't spend as much time here as I used to :o . Too busy at work to sneak on most of the time. My parents are moving house so most time there is spent sorting stuff out there and I don't get much time to get online when I'm with 'R'.

Everything is going brilliantly with 'R' and I'll be moving in with her in the next month or so.

    Darkness

I'm swimming all alone in a pool of darkness
and I feel like darkness is slowly pulling me under
I yell for help but no one is there to hear it
I begin to see the water at eye level
    and I kick and flail
fighting to stay above the darkness
But the darkness won't let go of its hold on me
and I slowly begin to give in
to the feeling that lies below the water line
the waters starts to fill my lungs
the lungs that once held so much life
yet now they allow the murky water to replace that
I know that this path doesn't lead to happiness
But why doesn't someone grab my hand
    pull me from darkness's grasp?
because no one knows I stand at the boundary
the boundary between light and dark
so I give in to the thing that holds me
All of the strength and all of the courage
that I once held in my heart
can't save me from the water
So I slowly slip below the world of conscientiousness
undetected by the occupants of that world
I don't want to fight anymore
    I've given into darkness

Just a quick hello to anyone who remembers me.........says Feb 17th I was last logged in

Things are a little easier in some ways now, but I am still depressed and down on myself.

I don't miss 'S' as much now, although I still wish things could have worked better and I am still lonely.

I was okay until today, when flatmate let it slip that 'S' had text her a few times saying she was disappointed in her for taking my side and tonight another friend of hers phoned and apparently 'S' took advantage of her kindness too and is now refusing to acknowledge her, and all my anger has resurfaced.

I hope you are all okay. I can't read back 2+ months of posts, but if you'd like to give me a summary of all your rampant affairs and lottery winning details, I'll :) for you.

Hi Miro!!! Great to here from you,you have been away for a while and i was wondering how you were, thanks for posting.Glad things are a little easier for you.As to fealing lonely i think it is something many of us feal.Even the ones who have parteners can feal lonely. In my case its not so much that i mind spending time on my own,i can be quite happy in my own company. It is a lonliness for someone to care, felt it all my life and it is just something i live with.Things with "N" are still the same it is going nowhere but i can't bring myself to stop contact he is all i have really.I have been on a couple of dates to try and get him out of my head but it did not work. The guy seemed to really like me which helped my self esteem a little but unfortuanetly i did not feal the same he was a lovely man would be a great catch for someone but i just did not fancy him in the boy/girl way so it was not fair to lead him on.Anyway as i said it is lovely to here from you hope you are bk for a while and not just popping in,but either way you are still part of the family on here and we do care.

I am saying I will be taking a break from this site - it isn't the place I thought it was.

It obviously allows people to be bullied and I left that years ago.

I have been verbally attacked on the vent forum for saying I hate bad service and don't need to subjected to this level of abuse for having an opinion. It is like being back in the playground. I get attacked, I defend myself and get accused of nasty things as a result. Life is too short to get involved with these bullying trolls!

I have enough on my plate looking for a new place.

    Hi qb!:hello:
That was a nice piece of prose qb - did you write that yourself hun? It was very expressive.
It can really help to get over-whelming feelings out in a creative way angel.

I do hope that you're ok qb? I was quite perturbed to see your blue huggy hun.:o
If you're feeling really low angel, please call your gp or your mental health crisis team or The Samaritans.
I hope I'm not being an over-reacting silly Tiff  and that it's just written as an expressive piece hun.
If there's anything wrong qb, please contact someone to talk.hug.gif You don't have to suffer or struggle on your own - you can get the help you deserve angel.:T

CC, am so sorry you are feeling like this. I hope it is not us on this thread who has upset you. If it is just the attitude on the vent thread then maybe stay off that board for a while? I have never been on that board, so don't know what the people there are like.

I do find I get a lot of support from this site, both on this thread and on the DFW board. I hope that you get similar levels of support from other boards on this site. I hope that you are not going to throw it all in because of a couple of silly people who probably just want to provoke a reaction from you.

Please stay CC, we'd all miss you if you went.

A couple??? - half the flipping users (most unknown) are coming out of the woodwork - the thread has been closed due to them accusing me of something I am not doing, yet doing the same themselves!

Sorry I haven't read the other thread, and don't want to upset you further, as this is clearly distressing for you.

I was just trying to show you a little support.
