It went ok,he is a lovely genuine and kind guy but i just don't fancy him.He really made an effort to give me a good night. We went bowling, into town for a drink then on to a casino where we had a meal, taxi's everywhere.I felt really guilty when i said i did not want to see him again, told him in the kindest way i could and said that he is a lovely guy but he was still hurt.He said it was my loss so i agreed with him but i can't make myself feal something that is not there.

You did the right thing Gem.. better to be honest now and him be a little bit hurt than later on and be really hurt innit *huggs* Still feels like crap tho to do it :/

    Now..... can we say......

  • Well done gemini, at least you didnt lead him on, its hard but im sure he will accept it in the long run, surely worse to give him false hope?
  • Hi
I'm a fairly long standing forum member but have signed up with a new name to post this. Not sure why, I suppose I'm a little embarrassed.

I've suffered from depression on and off for years. Started to feel bad again over the past few months and got given anti-depressants today.

I'm having a bad day, crying, confused etc. I'm beside myself, i want to escape this feeling but cant.

Not sure what i want to acheive by posting this but needed to tell someone!

    Hiya Life..

first of all.. there is nothing to be embarassed about, although I can understand why you are :) You wouldnt be embarassed if you had a flu or a broken leg or somethng, so for the same reasons there is no need to feel embarassed about depression. A lot of times it's a chemical imbalance in the brain, so it is a real medical condition.

Well done for seeing your gp and getting help. The anti depressants can take a couple of weeks to work but you might start feeling better soon, it varies from person to person.

Be very kind and gentle to yourself. It's good to cry and release some of those emotions and it will get better, promise .

You don't have to achieve anythng by posting, sometimes it just helps to know that someone else knows, if that makes sense? There's always someone here if you need a shoulder and you can tell us as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

Big huggs, you're on the path to feeling better xx

    Hello Life

As ethel has said there is no need to be embarrased about the condition as you will find that everyone as suffered from depression at some time in there life. Some are obviously worse than others.

It's a big step to make going to see your GP so well done for that

First the ad's do you make you feel a bit worse and you will get quite confused but after a few weeks it gets better. There are other side effects which will be in the leaflet that came with your AD's.

I can understand that you want to escape this feeling, we all do. there are things that you can do to help, possibly a change in lifestyle? maybe doing things that you dont normally do?

    take care life.
we are always here to help you

    xx
