Depression is more severe, your more than likely sad or cheesed off, so stop saying "Im Depressed" when in all actuality your probably just p*ssed off, and that happens to us all from time to time.

Im deffo not having a go or owt  so get happy soon :)

I like this one best (mainly cause I can remember it to tell people):

There were three pieces of rope wandering in the desert. They were very hot and thirsty. They came upon a bar and one went in. He asked for a drink and the bartender said, 'read the sign buddy we don't serve ropes.'

'Oh come on just this once', the rope asked again. The bartender said 'nope', so the rope left. The second rope figured he was a bit better looking and maybe the bartender would soften a little and let him have a drink. He went in and asked for a drink, the bartender shook his head and said 'Hey Buddy, it's just like I told your friend we don't serve ropes here.' Dejected the rope left the bar.

The 3rd rope heard both of their stories but thought "what the heck?". As he walked into the bar he tripped over a rug and became messed up, he got to the bar and asked for a drink.

The bartender asked, 'Hey are you a rope?' The 3rd rope looked down at himself and said 'Nope, I am a frayed knot!'

I keep writing how I feel and it looks like I am a sad person, to be honest i have great kids, a great hubby, but we argue, but he is lovelly and I fancy him like mad and he says he fancies me too ( I believe him I just dont know why I have a real hang up about me!! major problem) I am tall, blonde (not really!!) fairly slim, but I have a fat TUMMY!!! and I am 42!!! I look Like a a mixture of Roision from trial and retribution and Amanda at home with the braithwaites.

Have you ever been in a changing room where you see all of you!! I have at Next, Oh my god I look horrible!!!!!

Sometimes I am really pretty and then I think Next mirror or family photographs!!!!!!! I am horrified I HAD this mirror image of me?? oh yeah just check out photos!!

Hi Jeppy,The things you are fealing are quite normal i am sure everyone feals like that at some time.None of us like looking or getting older but it sure beats the alternative lol. Also we all have days when we look in the mirror and don't like what we see but you said"sometimes i am really pretty" so at times you do think you are.I do know what you mean about those changing rooms though, usualy we just see our front image so it is a bit of a shock when we can see from all angles eeek!As to a fat tummy, show me anyone at 42 who has had kids who doesn't have a bit of a tummy.Your hubby still fancies you so that is the main thing he loves you,the mother of his children so you have no need to be jealous of younger women,ok your hubby might look, thats natural i am sure you look at attractive guys too but it does not mean you prefer them to your hubby.

I am sorry you are feeling down. On top of any issues that may be making you feel like this, it is a bad time of year. I was with a group of friends a few days ago and all eight of us said we had been in tears at some point in the last week. Its natural to have these blue times. I am glad you feel in a good place on this board. I do think we have something remarkable here in that we are very supportive of each other.

Its also ok to post this on the comps board. For me anyway, the people are more important than the prizes. In some of my bleakest moments a few years ago when I going through a time of crisis, I used to log on to uk rec competitions and laugh again. Not because of prizes, but because of the banter between some posters. One of those posters now sometimes posts on here and I have been able to thank her.

We are all here for you. Feel free to pm at any time as well if you need some support.
  • Awwww jeppy, sorry to hear you're feeling down - hope the [STRIKE]terribly[/STRIKE] wonderfully funny jokes have at least raised a smile, i know they have with me :D

The support offered on this board is wonderful, a real community feeling!

  • I've got a joke to cheer you up.....

A boy was meeting his girlfriend's parents for the first time for dinner. After dinner, his girlfriend and her mother left the room to do the dishes, leaving him with the father and the dog Duke, who was sitting underneath the boy's chair. Unfortunately, it was a large dinner and he really had to fart. He stealthily let out a quiet, but audible, fart.

    "Duke!" the dad yelled.

"This is great!" the boy thought. "He thinks the dog is farting!" So he let out another one.

"Duke!" the father barked. The boy thought he was homefree so he let everything out at once in a really loud and smelly fart.

"Duke! Get out of there before the boy sh*ts on you!" :rotfl:

    Hope you feel better soon!

    (((((Tiff))))

Hope things get better for you healthwise.

    ((((Ethel))))

I hope you get some help because being "piggy in the middle" is exhausting.

Trying to get uniforms ready for school next week and the ironing mountains have grown even higher. Just trying to get stuff washed and dried takes ages at the moment.

Hugs to everybody and take care of yourselves.

You are not useless and the charity obviously recognised this and that is why you got so much to do - it is a compliment in its way.
