We had serious problems with the car which are now sorted.

Now we have received 2 months notice from our landlord because he is selling the property - we have not got any money at all to be able to put down on another property and I am really upset and my husband is just so apathetic about it.

Sitting here crying me eyes out and he is in bed snoring his head off

Hi Bunny,Well your hubby may be in bed snoring but you are never alone on here.Sorry you are fealing so bad ((((HUG))))Problems with finances can make us feal very down and the news about your property must feal like the last straw, but at least you have two months to find somewhere else.As you have no money to put down on another property councel accomadation is the obvious answer.I would go and see my local councel as soon as possible and explain the situation to them.

Thanks geminilady, that is an option but like with all councils there is a waiting list. We would probably fall quite low in the list as we both work full time and should "in theory" be able to afford a rented property. Whereas in reality this is not the case. Sorry feel very despondent about councils as I used to work for one

Well if you used to work for the council you will know more about it than me but i thought they had a duty to house people who are going to be homeless? If not is there a relative that could lend you the deposit for a private place or even put you up until you can get the deposit?.It must be hard knowing your husband is asleep when you are sat up crying.I would be tempted to go give him a shake lol.

    Good morning my little geckos!
How's everyone? Breakfast hugs for all!grouphug.gif
Going to try and go into town today. Silly I know, but it's the same day and place as last week when I fainted and I'm feeling jittery.:o
Plus I've GOT to go as my DS will be 17 (if he makes it that far!:D ) on St.Valentine's Day and so there needs to be some gift buying. My stretch marks will be 17 too, but do I get a present?!!!
I have to do it today because I've got my little op tomorrow and then I'll be under house arrest recovering! ;)
And I've got so many jobs to do around the house, as well as some writing, (which still hasn't been done!:D ) Mum's still ill and DS is doing his first public performances at Stratford-upon-Avon College tomorrow and Friday night and I can't go.
    I know, I know - break it down into little pieces! :D
Whatever gets done, gets done and whatever doesn't, doesn't - there problem solved!:D ;)
Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!:T
    Much Love,

    Hi bunnie hun!hug.gif
Oh angel, my heart goes out to you. I'm sorry you've had such a rough time. It's hard when your the problem solver and you hit a low spot and there's no-one to take over the reins.
There's the possiblity that the new landlords may want to rent angel, though I know it's a long shot. Ok angel, lets break it up.

First hun, get a written notice from your landlord - you'll need it to prove your situation. This is very important. You can't do much council-wise without it and you have to have written notice of his intentions before you can be evicted.
Bunnie, what kind of tenancy do you have? This can affect how much time by law that a landlord has to give you.

Re. Finances - and Housing - It's CAB time hun!;) They can work out a financial statement with you, negotiate a payment plan on your behalf with creditors and help sort out a budget for you. Take all your bills, bank statements, landlord's letter etc. with you bunnie.
You should also ask them about the housing situation. They are used to tussling with housing departments. They've seen it all before at CAB hun and they're lovely people. Their assistance should help to take the pressure off you bunnie. hug.gif CAB is a really great charity.:A

Re. Housing - Even though you both have incomes angel, you would still qualify to apply for a council house. Yes there is usually a long waiting list BUT in cases such as yours, if you haven't found somewhere else by then, you'd qualify as being as an emergency and go towards the top of the list.
You need to go to your local council offices and get an application form NOW. That way the council will be in the know and up to speed should you need them. They'll want to contact your landlord to verify everything etc and look at your finances so by getting all that done in advance, you'll have the answers to their questions.
Now don't misunderstand me, they're not just going to throw a set of keys at you hun - you may have to persevere and keep chasing them. But the sooner you're on the waiting list the better, because you'll be accruing points angel. Something will come up somehow hun so dry your eyes - you won't be left to sleep on the streets bunnie. hug.gif

Another option may be to contact your local council and get the details and criteria of any housing associations in your area. They're more expensive than a council house but a lot cheaper than most private landlords. They do tend to have strict qualifying rules and some will only consider you if your council refers you, which is more than possible if the council agree you're about to become homeless.

I hope this helps a little bunnie - it's always good to have a plan angel - it relieves the stress and anxiety.;) Maybe DH doesn't know what to do regarding the finances hun? I don't know. Sometimes when we feel we're in too deep, it's easier to bury our heads in the sand.
And don't forget to check back in with your gp if it's all getting too much again! Depression can get worse at times of high stress and so it may be worth checking in for an appt hun. Anyway angel - good luck and keep us posted.hug.gifhug.gifhug.gif
