Lagotel, Playa de Muro - any good?

Hello all
Considering booking a break at the Lagotel in Playa De Muro next August for myself, my husband and our 3 boys who will be 13, 12 and 4. Reviews seem positive and I like the price, very reasonable for 7 nights AI. Has anyone been and if so, was it any good?

I've been! It was way back in 2003 but we had a great time The hotel was nice, only a short walk to the beach, we stayed on Half Board but the food was nice enough and lots to choose from. I don't know if it has changed since but I thought it was a great value holiday when I went and I would be happy to go back. Hope you and your family have a brilliant holiday!

How many pools does the hotel have? Is it just the two? Bit hard to tell from the photos/reviews.

Who are you booking with? I like the look of it but it's working out very expensive for me,hubby and one child next year with First Choice.
I have been to same hotel in Ibiza for 4 yrs running so am looking for a change!

First Choice Doesn't work out so badly for us because we are a family of 5 and they have 5 bedded rooms. Actually, for that week of the year it was the cheapest holiday I could find to anywhere going through any of the major high street agents.

Any feedback you could give me will be gratefully received. I guess I'd like to know the standard things really - room comfort, standard of food, range of facilities etc. All of the reviews are reasonably positive (and I'm quite realistic about what to expect for a 3 star) so fingers crossed it'll all be good.

We looked at this hotel, a friend of mine has not long been back and recommended it. The only thing that put us off was that the pool doesn't open until 10am and with small children that is too late for us, well for me anyway I get a lie in on holiday whilst DH and the boys are up and in the pool early, so we didn't book.

Yeah, can totally understand where you're coming from there. It wouldn't be an issue for us though because my boys tend to stay up late/sleep in when we are away so by the time we've all let our breakfast settle I dare say it'll be at least 10am Could be a problem for earlier risers though.

Was also trying to establish whether the AI snack bar is open in the evening but have read conflicting things? Only a small detail I know but could become important with 3 hungry boys in tow! If anyone can help with this again, I'd be very grateful

Some of the information I've found on the internet is a bit conflicting so I'm really thankful for any little bits of help so I know exactly what I'm buying into
