DD1 returned to university today - no thats not a sigh of relief. Honest! She is lovely and low maintainence and is fun to have around but she has been very stressed over her dissertation -which remains in a state of half doneness and I almost offered her mine but its nearly 30 yrs old:eek:, just to get some respite - so I am just feeling a little less harassed and looking forward to getting the house straight again ( I am sure I could get tablets for that :rotfl:) maybe focussing on the debt busting a little more fully now and that bucket of frogs I work with who are testing my patience at the mo  OH taken her back as he has a meeting in the area tomorrow. Taken my car as its 'nicer to drive' says OH. Just hope he treats it nicely as I have been trying VERY HARD to drive more economically and I think its been paying off looking at the miles I am getting from a full tank. Unfortunately I have a 100 mile round trip commute which is of course very costly :(

OK off to do something to eat for DD2 and me - we love it when its just us because we are both 'grazers'

Did quite a lot of shifting around of money last night and paid all the CC's more than the minimum - all but 1 on 0% interest and the one that is paying interest will get a hit hopefully with whatever is left over in budget day before payday. Bit of a long day today. Emotionally draining. Its days like this when I come home and look at my own children and utter, to whoever, a quite prayer of thanks. Even when I think all hell has been unleashed here it does not compare with the carp my mad frogs have to endure sometimes...........

Busy busy busy weekend again. Volunteering yesterday at my local branch of NCT sale and also managed to sell some of my DDs books/old toys /clothes making about £50 so that was good! Planning on putting that on the N*xt account.

ELMM diet working - Sunday weigh in 14st 6lbs. Definately moving more and just eaten less of anything I like to eat :)

Couple of Eb*y sales finishing today - not huge amounts, but it all helps. Once I have finished a few admin chores following yesterdays sale, put out the washing, cleared kitchen ( again ), do a VVTTB and think about work next week I may get a chance to list some more stuff - aiming for 20 items this week.

Well going to make a start on kitchen - Archers already started so I am 10 mins behind.

Oh dear OH is shouting at TV and taking part in a scrum or a line out or he may even think he has scored a try or something :rotfl::rotfl:

It never rains but it pours - in every sense of the phrase........... have discovered a leak on roof directly over DD1 bedroom. By the looks of it has been there for sometime :( Its at times like this that old houses just become a money pit. OH has been on roof to look at it and has done a temporary repair but he reckons it needs a lot more than that - talking about replacing most of it - well stripping off slates and replacing whatever is underneath. We had some storm damage last winter and got another part of the roof replaced( house has lots of different levels and roofs all pitched) That area had bats in - which dont bother us but it did mean we had to wait until a suitable time to do it and where restricted in what materials we could use under the roof slates. Think we will be ok with this part of the roof.....its just the expense at a time when we really cant afford it. And just to cap it all our immersion heater for hot water has packed up. We only use it in the summer because we have a solid fuel range for cooking hot water and heating in winter - so thats now lit a little earlier than we thought it would be ( cats are happy :))Maybe we can put off sorting out immersion for a bit longer :(

First day of feeling OK this week - visit to doc was a total waste of time - I am not happy and planning now what to do next. Have made a few overpayments on the CCs and got 2 on 20 plus months 0% so shifted as much as poss on to those. But have today set up SO to pay DD1 rent at university :( Its like having a secong mortgage. End of the month so big meal plan in the offing and online order for delivery tomorrow. DD2 has offered her savings to pay for clarinet :) I will of course pay her back.

Still feel muzzy but headache is subsiding - rattling with pills. Went to yoga last night - felt good and have made appt with osteopath as I have a lot of tension in neck. Need to go back to work tomorrow whatever as I have important meeting about one of the mad frogs - had to cancel another today but not so crucial. Also I know rest of school staff will. be pullin ngthere hair out by now with the frogs - they dont understand them nor have the patience;)

Well I shopped - now waiting for T*sco to drop - all over the garden path if the last delivery was anything to go by. This is a HUGE shop which I have asked to come in bags - we finish free bags here today - 5p a shot as from tomorrow. I have been 'stockpiling' bags for a couple of months now as we use them to line our kitchen and bathroom bin and as I NEVER bought a small bin liner in my life I wanted to put off the evil day a little bit longer.................sad I know but its saving money. Also hope I can snaffle another crate to help with storage of Eb*y things we have sorted ;)

In work today - meetings all a bit long and boring. New mad frogs bounding our way - where do they come from? Must be something in the water.............

Out tonight with close female friends to our favourite noodle bar. :)
Its absolutely steaming here and poor OH has been struggling to fix immersion heater all day so feel a bit guilty as all there is sausage and wedges for him and DD2 tonight - unless they want to do something themselves from the incoming shop - unlikely

    Hi Igamogam

    :coffee: Fancy a chocolate hobnob?

Glad you're feeling a bit better. Im prone to bad headaches too and they're just nasty, especially so when nothing helps them, even your GP. I have no advice but much sympathy. Hope the osteopath does something useful about it.

You're debt busting is going well though. Overpayments on credit cards, moving around debt onto 0% and £50 extra selling stuff. You're doing it! Well done!

I love hearing about your frogs. They sound very similar to the wee toots I work with only lucky me has them 1:1 and not a whole bagful of frogs at once. They're lucky to have someone who understands them. :)

DD1's rent...*groan*...new roof...*groan*...immersion heater...*double groan*...Still waiting for my garage bill to drop through the letterbox. No doubt it will arrive when I'm feeling most pleased with myself to knock me back down. :D

    Have a great sunday.
If you know you have enough, you're rich. ;)

Hello Ani* fan - you doing great yourself. I will pass on chocolate Hobnob - in the past I could have eaten whole packet to myself:o but my ELMM diet is going well

Sunday morning weigh in 14st 4 lbs :)
Took DD2 to swim lesson at 8am whilst she was there had swim myself at gym pool - empty except for the hairy torpedo ploughing up and down on opp side. Managed 40 lengths and 15 mins in steam room doing my yoga breathing - during busy times that usually empties the place:rotfl:

I did succumb to doing a 10 mile round trip to next village to get warm bread and pastries for breakfast - not very MSE I know but fancied a treat after last week being ill and a return to work which was not very welcoming. I have decided I will NEVER attempt making danish pastries or croissants after watching 'Bake Off' last week - other people train for years and are paid to do it so that is fine by me!

I did forget to get man flu remedies for OH - he is sooooooooo ill that he could only watch rugby at 5.30 am on our TV rather than go to rugby club. In his dressing gown I think he only managed to score one try - but this was whilst clutching a box of tissues ;)

Pastries where nice - and where infact left over from yesterday - think they over did it for the crowds of unexpected, but welcome, tourists which flooded in yesterday ( sun brings them out like flying ants:D) So I got 4 for £1 so didnt feel so bad.

Crikey 1 pm already - must do a Flylady tidy today and Eb*y a little more

Rubbish week for debt busting for all kinds of reasons. Not really happy bunny. Looking forward to weekend - got a few frogs to squash - no not my mad frogs - just a few things I have been putting off and now its crunch time. Will be back over weekend to post and debt busting activity and not too much spending
