Too tired when I got home last night to post - only enough energy for a glass of wine and to be scared silly watching Silent Witness:eek:

The 'Laydees' treated me to a fab afternoon tea in a very very upmarket establishment in these parts - tiers of cakes and exquisite sandwiches, clotted cream, jam, buckets of tea ( well silver teapots actually) but in a constant supply from our very own waiter all served in a private room - the library - all wood panelling and shelves of huge old books and a log fire ( it was that cold) kept topped up by our very own log putter onner! Great company and lots of laughs, reminiscences and a few tears and plenty of photos. All finished off with a fab present - a beautiful wooden 'steamer' garden chair for sundowners in the garden.... if it ever warms up:)

We where eventually asked to leave.........in the nicest possible way as they needed the room for another function starting in half an hour. Well we had been there 4 hours ......boy can we talk and it was the perfect end:rotfl::rotfl:

    Good friends:A

Did have a meeting with boss at a time and place that suited me;) Hmmm didnt quite pin him to the coffee table by the you know whats but he got the message - he did admit that communication not good and things possibly happening in a mad rush to have things up and running and in place by September. My job will be kept but in a different location with different staff and I pointed out the extra 20 miles a day on my 90 mile round trip reminding him that I will have to be paid for the added petrol for the next 5 years ( its policy!)...........that had slipped his mind. I am coming round to the fact I will have to move but I am not going to like it :(

Really carp day. A 'I need chocolate now' type of day - mad frogs and knee jerking heads - what a combo:eek: Lots of big thinking to do at moment all work related - sometimes I just wish I could quietly get on with the job without the extra hassle of having to deal with people who think they know what I do and believe they can do it better:mad:

  • Oh dear, a move ! have you been at this house long ? Do a reccy of the area you may have to move to or do you know it already.

People who think they know your job better than you :mad::mad: its hard to deal with. Especially when its difficult to tell them so, because of repercussions !

Not moving house MWNM just job location. I have done a 90 mile commute for 25 years whats another 20 miles:rotfl: Authority will pay me the difference. Just moving to a new place to work with new colleagues, new ways of doing things etc etc - a right royal PITA! I wouldn't mind moving if it was my choice. Anyway work today no better - think yesterdays events where the sign to say its time to go. Feel a bit let down by the head I work for at the moment to tell you the truth.....................
