Unfortunately your daughter has been scammed and with all scammers they always come back for more money.
She can safely ignore the parking charge and there is absolutely NOTHING they can do about it other than send silly letters full of threats, all of which are untrue lies .
These are dirty ruthless crooks who will take every penny your daughter has unless someone with a level head steps in now.
What she has been given, is not a fine it is a invitation to pay an invoice dressed up as a fake parking ticket.
They have NO legal right in any Law of this land to issue a fine, however they can ask her to pay as many invoices as they like and now they have hold of her this is what will happen, they will cone back again and again until she has given everything, these fake parking tickets will be issued most likely by a neighbour or caretaker who gets a cut of the money.
They have no more validity than say me fining you £100 for reading this, Would you pay ?
time for some mother Hen, do not pay any more money, you will get several silly letters full of all sorts of silly threats then they will go away providing you do not bite back and continue to ignore them.
They will not take her to court, despite what they say because they will loose and they can not effect her credit rating as credit agencies dont do scams.
fake solicitor and fake debt collectors letters will also follow, again ignore.

  • Thanks to everyone who replied, and the advice given, particularly the advice about contacting the management agency, which we did. I am pleased to say that we've had an email from the management agency today to say they've contacted UKPC and the fine has been cancelled.

    Thanks again.

That's good, but please, it was NEVER a fine and could have been ignored. You are still taking this too seriously IMHO - especially as your DD actually paid one of these pieces of rubbish. You did tell her it was a scam and she should never have paid it? Can the Management Co arrange a refund now then?

Never fall for one of these fake parking tickets again. The debt collector threats are NOT worrying, they go nowhere and cannot affect her/your credit rating. Paying a fake PCN is like sending money to a phishing emailer.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And UKPC has now raised a cancellation charge to the Management agency for "costs" endured of around £30. Although hopefully the Management Agency will ignore that invoice
