So last night I got round to digging out my past mobile phone bills and seeing if I use all my allowances on my contract. Surprise surprise.... I don’t.
My contract is up for renewal September 26th, and I will be changing to a £10 a month tariff J saving £20 a month. Bet you can’t guess where that £20 is going?! Straight onto CC. Will set up a standing order for this extra £20 to go onto my cc, once my contract has been changed.
I do want a new phone, I don’t like the one I currently have. Beggars can’t be choosers. Once I have a full-time job, money is coming in, and I have paid off my credit cards, I will treat myself to a nice new phone!0 -
I’ve done it. Handed in my notice today. Exicted, happy, worried all at the same time. Next Wednesday is my last day. Just need to email my line manager who is on holiday (gave my notice to the director).
Excited for my new job (when I find it!), happy (I no longer have to work here), worried (I now have no full-time job so less money).
As they say ‘things can only get better!’, which reminds me of that song...Think I’ll go find that song and listen to it. Will be my theme tune!0 -
Last day tomorrow
Today is going very slow. My line manager was very understanding. He didn’t seem too fussed by it. Said these things happen, and is helping me clear my case load, so as not to overload my colleague when I leave.
It has also hit me that I don’t have any form of income. I need to find another job. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some temp assignments to tide me over until then.
In the meantime, I have more items to sell on eBay, AAT to study for, exercise regime to start and stick to, CV to rewrite, bedroom to sort out. I have lots I can do, but not much will give me money.
Last payday tomorrow. I need to work out how much to pay off my cc’s. I think I will clear my Barclaycard, that way if I still don’t have a fulltime job at the end of October, I might be able to get a 0% Balance transfer deal with them for the remainder of my Virgin CC. Cheeky, but worthwhile. Also owed 5 days holiday – this I might put straight onto card, or save for emergencies. Haven’t decided yet, suppose it depends how much it is after TAX and NI.
Also need to chase up the remaining £90 that is owed to me by friends. That with my eBay sales will nearly clear my Barclaycard, so that I could then put more onto Virgin cc
So my ebay auctions have ended. And I have made around £65. After ebay, paypal and postage fees, the remainder will go straight onto my cc.
Time to package them all up, relist the ones that did not sell, and prepare the next batch for uploading on Thursday. Busy night I have planned then!0 -
