I have everything crossed but how I'll walk is something else :rotfl:
Good luck, hope they all sell x0 -
I’m trying to think of other ways that I can save money, as I will soon be jobless. I will start a spending diary as I should have lots spare at the end of the month, but I don’t. I want to see where it all gets spent (strongly suspect it’s on socialising down the pub).
I already take lunch to work most days, as if I don’t; I have to drive into town (3miles away). I currently work in the middle of nowhere and there are no vending machines. Will be interesting to see how much money I spend on making my lunches though, even it’s for two weeks – will be handy for my next job.
I’m using up all my toiletries – I have so many!! I’ve put a really nice Sanctuary spa set aside, as I’ll repackage that and give to someone for Christmas. I brought it in the sale as I thought it smelt nice, as Mum had one that was already open and using it, tried it and it bought me out in a rash, so I won’t be using the set I brought!
On the subject of Christmas, I have money saved already to spend on presents (suppose I should use this to pay off debts
), based on what I spent last year. I love giving presents and always go overboard! It is not even September yet and I’m thinking of Christmas! Always wanted to try making cards, so I might do that this year, along with a few homemade gifts – every little helps! I guess I need to start planning/preparing things now though. I’ll go check out that Christmas board on the forum for more ideas....

Thinking miles ahead to Christmas (which is also preventing me from going to the pub with friends and spending money)....
I have the Cath Kidston Sew book, which has a patchwork bag in that my sister has said she’d love. I have scraps of fabric lying around from making various fancy dress costumes in the past, would need to buy handles and lining fabric. Will dig it all out and see the fabrics together – that might be one present done!
And a mini hamper/gift-bag filled with toiletries for a friend (using up the Sanctuary set I bought but will never use), and the cookie mix in a jar is an idea for the other friend I exchange gifts with. I already have an empty kilner jar, and am bound to have the ingredients in the kitchen for the dry mix!
I have a box of Christmas cards leftover from years of boxed sets, so that will get used this year – pointless buying craft bits to make cards if I already have cards to use!
So that’s 3 presents and cards sorted, ebay auctions listed, and spent a night in. All of which has saved me money! Yippee!!
I wonder how long this enthusiasm will last....
Should really get back on with the job hunting now.0 -

I have been saving all the £2 coins I get in change since the beginning of the year. I counted them this morning before work and so far I have £88 in my £2 piggy box (yes it is a pig, and she’s yellow, and cost me 10p from the charity shop many months ago).
Should really count all my loose change jars/tins that I have.... Could have a small fortune there! That's a job for tomorrow morning
Ebay update: damn no insert fees this weekend!!! Grr!!!! Oh well, current listings I have 3 watchers over all of my 24 auctions
better than none at all I guess.

Pub job this evening :j
Will be quietly asking the manager for a couple extra shifts from the beginning of September.
Fingers crossed x
p.s. only 1 hr 26 mins till the weekend!!!0 -
Should not have ventured out last night....My head regrets it now. Why do we spend money on alcohol, drink lots (too much in my case) and feel rubbish the next day?! If yu look at it you spend moeny to feel rubbish! Just doesn't make sense does it?
Anyways enough of my self-inflicted sore head
EBAY update!!! - 5 of my 24 auctions will definately sell and so far I'll be received £12.96 for my efforts. Not bad with 7 days to go still
Off to sit in the sun before my sister and niece arrive to take over the place!0
