when i tried to check out via amazon it charges me a higher rate ..but 99p when i go through Clinton payment page.. i give up tonight will try again tomorrow

I went to check out , it showed discount but took the full amount off my card..... not happy ! have emailed them but they haven't replied to previous emails so we will see!

I could not have put it better! After trying and failing to put one card in the basket 10 times on different days, and as nothing is saved it had to be personalised each time over, I gave up and checked out 2 cards while the going was good. Once they are in the basket I could not see a way of checking easily that they were OK and, oh, funkypigeon, you are so much better! If I could have all my time back, I'd go with FP. The savings with Clintons are just not worth the hassle.

thanks i too ordered 3 cards, panicked at checkout as they showed full price, but as i went through to next page, the price dropped to £2.97.

I still can't get this to work after spending ages personalising my cards...does anybody have any tips?

Thanks Op, just ordered 3 personalised cards for £2.97. Although the cards are a bargain, the website is really awful. I ended up choosing 3 personalised cards as it did not seem to take the money off some other cards and when tried to check out with Amazon it was charging postage, had to go back in and click pay by debit card and select free postage option on next page. It took ages to process and then got a screen that showed the internet had gone down. When I went back into the site saw items were not in my basket. Luckily I checked my email and found the order had gone through and I had confirmation email.

The cards I finally checked out with were the £2.79 personalised ones. I also found it charged more using the Amazon checkout as did not take off postage so using the card payment bit I found was the way to go.

Thanks everyone, it seems perseverance is the key...I had to personalise the cards and place them into my basket 3 times before it acknowledged the discount. Amazing offer but I definitely won't be rushing back to use the Clinton Cards website again!!
