    Hi all,

I,m having a chill day today - back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off :(

I have stuffed the freezer with meal basics, so hopefully will not resort to silly spends because I,m too knackered to cook.

Feel a bit guilty as I am sat here watching carp 80's film and OH is running around like a loony prepping the hall stairs and landing for a paint job starting tomorrow. But I have been good to him for the past 2 weeks playing housewife :)

Have a fab day all x

    Good Afternoon Everyone.
Glad JackieO's holiday has finally come around - I bet the children are SO excited! Fingers crossed they have decent beach weather!
    Welcome to Sandie.
HH - so glad you had an apology - would love to have been a fly on the wall when they spoke to the daughter!
Taplady - wow! I wish I was in the running for slimmer of the year ( not likely as my weight is at best stable, more often on the increase!)
DS and DGD have been with us for the past week and we've had a really lovely time. Hope this week is as good.
Meant to change the sheets today, but DH helpfully made the bed before I could strip it, so will do it tomorrow instead. Have found some knitting to do and am totally in love with my Kindl@!!
( Having a lazy time , as you can tell!)
Oh well, about to chauffeur the others into town as they're off to the park.
Hope you are all enjoying today. Take care.

    Think twice before spending anything!

Glad you got an apology about the letter.

    Happy Birthday (is it tomorrow?)

Had a lovely day yesterday - huge bouquet of flowers arrived - DD bought me a birthday cake and other two got me a cookery book and a trivia game. Fourth dd comes home on Wednesday as youngest gets her AS results on Thursday so might have a special dinner then. Enjoyed fish and chips and a family dvd night and have not felt so relaxed in ages.

Youngest suddenly got offered a temp job for summer at a designer outlet this week so ended up frantically shopping for a work wardrobe in the sales. One pair black trousers, one pair grey ones, black skirt, four shirt blouses in different colours and four smart/casual tops. Not only will it give her work clothes but if she has any interviews or occasions in sixth form to look extra smart then she is all set.

    Hugs to all

Mount ironmore has been demolished at last! OH has just put up the new venetian blind in the kitchen and there's a slat missing in the middle of it, he cut it to fit and goodness knows where the receipt is, so can't take it back! I will see what I can do with it on Tuesday, CBA today and am working tomorrow!

    Hi everyone,

Belated happy birthday to Elona and early one for DG.

DH took me away on Thursday for our anniversary (32 years) to a hotel outside Tewkesbury. We loved the town but weren't as impressed by Worcester. DH bought me a charm for the bracelet I have got myself as a weight loss reminder. I'm buying a charm for every 7lbs - 3 charms so far, a few more to go.

I've got a huge piece of gammon cooking which should do a lot of meals, although dd and her bf will be coming back from a festival tonight and will probably make inroads intoit.

DS is back at work tomorrow so he will be dealing with the aftermath of the looting in his Wood Green store. At least 2 other of their stores were also looted but they're not in his district thankfully. He works for L*dl.

Bitsy, I hope you are having a good time at Legoland.

Well done on the weight loss Snoozer. I got a new charm for my birthday and love my charm bracelet too x

I have had a very quiet day. We have been pottering around the garden and harvested the beetroot. I have filled in my forms for the application for my funding so fingers crossed.

Hope you all have a good day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Well done on the weight loss Snoozer.

My DD has 2 l**ks of london sweetie bracelets but much prefers my mum's silver charm bracelet that is jam packed with charms. I have had it lengthened for her and cleaned and it looks good. Glad she is making use of it!
