Click start then run, type services.msc and press enter

Wait for the services window, look for automatic updates, left click it, click to stop the service

Click start then run, type C:\windows\SoftwareDistribution

Press enter, when the folder opens, delete any files and folders in it.

Return to the services window, restart automatic updates

    Run windows update

Wasn't sure if it just renamed some of the files

Does it do the same if you try the updates singly?

Or, google the KB number and manually download the update to see if it will install
