Would you categorise Travel Republic as a "price comparison" site though?0

You are missing the point - the important sentence is ;Ryanair will continue to prohibit, as it always has, the re-selling of its flights in the interests of passengers
They allow access for quotes, but not for reselling. Not worth the risk of cancellation in my opinion. YMMV.Legal team on standby0 -
There seem to be a lot of them out there, which do you recommend? I buy a lot of flights and each time I think "must get one of those cards" and then the idea recedes!!
I use Fairfx but others are available. You can get the card for free.

They haven't actually done this though since 2008 as far as I can see, and during that time TR have sold millions of Ryanair flights without problem.0 -
This all started a few years ago when Ryanair issued a press release to the effect of 3rd party agents are not allowed to re-sell Ryanair flights and all flights booked in this way will be cancelled".
The problems however were not, and never have been in the UK. It was in Europe (and Germany specifically springs to mind) where agents were selling Ryanair flights at a profit. I.e. Ryanair flight was €40, they were selling it for €70 and making a tidy profit. THIS is the practice that Ryanair disagreed with and this is what started all this.
While the official party line is that agent bookings will be cancelled, in the real world it is very different. There are countless holiday websites that will sell you a Ryanair flight (Travel Republic, lowcostholidays etc etc). There are horror stories of people turning up to an airport and having no choice but to buy full price last minute tickets.
Really? Could you point me towards any? If Ryanair were routinely cancelling peoples flights when booked through TR/Low Cost Holidays/High Street Agents (and literally thousands do book through them) then it would be all over this forum, Trip Advisor, Holiday Truths etc. Can't say I've ever seen one such report.
Travel republic and others do not make any money from re-selling Ryanair flights. They book them at cost, and the booking with Ryanair is made using all of the passenger details, and the passenger email address.
Its still money for Ryanair and bums on Ryanair seats. They know it happens.0
