Ejs - look after yourself. Would it be possible to talk to your brother over the phone?
Sorry for cheeky question, would anyone have little bit of Madeira Lana threads? I would need numbers 3840, 3842 and 3890 very little each and don't really want to buy skeins for over 3£ each. I wold compensate all costs. Or I could go through my threads left over from kits and see how I could replace them."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Hope all goes well ejs.
Just wondering do any of you have daylight lamps and what do you think of them?
I have a daylight bulb in a normal lamp & it's brilliant! Only costs a few £ for a bulb & if you don't own a suitable lamp, IKEA do some good ones at a reasonable price.
Marru-I have a few maderia threads, so I'll check for you.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

ejs hope all the test results go well for you, I know how awful it can be waiting for results to come back.
Well I have a night of quiet tv watching planned, so I'm finally going to pick up my stitching again!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

As for your medical bits - fingers crossed for really good results.
.... oh, and enjoy your mag xxxRuth_honey wrote: »EJS-each of those things on their own is hard enough, but to have all that going on at the same time...
We're all thinking of you and if you need us, we're right here. Don't worry about going off topic. No-one will mind if you need to unburden. Will keep my finger crossed for your test results & I think you should talk to your husband about how you feel about your brother. Ask him what he'd do if he was you. Good luck.
Just ditto to the above - we are all here for you - thinking of you - if was nearer and had a day off I would come with you
Update time - week 2 of little boy blue
Hope everyone else is well - had my first day in my new post - working out of a portacabin as they are still building the place - they had a ton of paper work for me to complete by Friday

I come back from coppicing and u lot have talked for 2 pages! Will catch up in a bit, but just wanted to say (gloat!) I found 2 stitch mags for 25p each (were 5 but only 2 with good projects), and also a box of wooden bits and screws labelled 'embroidery frame', £5.00, luckily there are very old looking photocopied assembly instructions with 'The Emu' written at the top. I'll google it, with my fingers crossed it'll be useful.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products.
